Whoa, I just switched my calendars (I have three wall calendars, each are different cause of the pictures so of course I really get three months for every one month. . .)

So, how much candy???? I escaped with just two chocolate covered peanut clusters and some dates/cream cheese.

My little TV is not working with my DVD player, I have got to find the button box aka the remote. In the meantime I have dug up my old VHS tapes. Its Kathy Smith week.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween. Whats up for the next month?

I'm doing this workout tonight:

Max Rounds in 30 Minutes
20 Swings
10 Bench Jumpovers
10 Thrusters
20 KB High Pull
10 Pull ups
10 Squat Jumps
10 one-arm rows (5 each side)


Cindi ~ I'm glad you enjoyed the kettlebell workout. They really give you a great cardio workout. I do find when I do kettlebell dvds that I have to use a lighter weight because they move so much faster. On my own, I go heavier and slower.

Tricia ~ Can't wait to hear your race report.

Alisha ~ No candy for me. I live in a small southern town and Halloween was moved to Saturday. We never get any trick or treaters on our block. We only have one family with kids and live on a dirt road that is in the process of being paved so no one usually comes down the block unless you absolutely have to. I did however make mini-donuts for breakfast yesterday. YUMMY!!

I have my half marathon on the 13th and we are spending Thanksgiving at the beach this year. I just booked the reservations today. I can't wait!!

Yummm - mini donuts!!! I had way too much candy, but I'm over it now. The kids have TONS of candy but they'll forget about it soon and it will just be sitting around. After thanksgiving - I take any that's left to work.
 
I did a short, quick 2-mile run last night. I did Sculpt this morning. Buster was diagnosed with lymphoma yesterday. We are waiting for final biopsy results and he'll start radiation today or tomorrow.

Ran about 40 minutes yesterday and some sore. I'm SORE from those KB's so more cardio today.

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get caught up and write my huge recap of the weekend for my blog! The trip was amazing! Not much sightseeing - just a little - but whoa! The rally was humongous and the race fabulous!

Lisa - So sorry to hear about Buster!

Jane - I hope your mom is continuing to do well!

We just got home last night and I did HIIT 30/30 today. Got the digital download with some birthday money from mom along with a few others from the Shock Cardio series. Not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the week yet, but I know for certain I'm not running! LOL! Giving myself a break from that!

I hope everyone's Halloween was fun! DH posted and tagged photos, so if you're on FB, pop in and check them out! They should show up on my page.
 
Good morning ladies! I did some kickboxing last night and doing Ilaria workouts tonight, then 2 rest days.

After November, I'm going to try to run 3 times a week and see how it goes. Twice a week has not caused me any problems so far. The other days, I'm going to spend more time with my Kettlebells. :)
 
Lisa- I hope Buster is feeling better soon.

Tricia- Sounds like you had a lot fun over the weekend!

Today is an old Kathy Smith step tape with weights. Tomorrow I drive to San Francisco in the AM for AES (Audio Engineer's Society.) I expect to do Travel Fit in the evening at the hotel.

I did CC V1 last night with the pups. I haven't worked out yet today. I'm going to try to do something tonight. Buster starts radiation today. We considered doing a bone marrow transplant but thought that would be too hard on him based on the chance of success. Light a candle for him.

Tricia - Glad you had a great weekend! I thought you had all the Cathe downloads already?? Did you get the Workout Blender up and going? How is it?

Alisha - Have fun in San Francisco!

Cindi - I'm glad the running isn't bothering you. I <3 my kettlebells! I need more time to workout. I can't seem to get all the workouts I want in a week.

Lisa - I'm missing the Shock Cardio series and the 4 new ones! I picked up 5 of the SC downloads with some birthday money. So, i'm only down a few now! I downloaded Workout Blender, but haven't had the time to really play with it yet! I'll probably get with it over the weekend while DH is doing homework!

I'll continue sending healing energy for Buster and light candles! I hope his radiation treatment went okay today!

Jane - I love Bootcamp! It's so much fun - killer, but fun!

I'm hoping to do a half next year. We'll stay local for that one! DH is thinking we can do the MCM full marathon together in 2012. We'll see . . .

I dug out Pure Strength CST today. I can't believe how much strength I've lost over these last couple of months! Yikes! I'm a weakling again! Doing MMA Fusion tomorrow for the first time! I'm looking forward to it!

Okay, I need to rant and you guys are the only ones I know I can vent to.

At work just a bit ago, I heard one of my co-workers/friends mention Bucca. This is a chain pasta restaurant. I don't know if you guys have ever been there, but it's a bit on the chintzy side, but the food is good. So, I mention to her that while in DC, my friend took us there for a carbo dinner the night before the race. I was just trying to offer my take on the food and atmosphere. What does she say? "She took you? I would think that you would have been taking her?" It was said pretty snarky and condescending like we were evil or bad friends for not being the ones to pay the bill.

Why is it wrong for a friend to offer to take you out even if you're the guests? It really pissed me off and if I were a stronger and more independent person, I would have told her, "F*** you!" I just don't get the harsh judgment for that. It wasn't just us there either. My friend in DC also invited another friend to go along and she paid for all of us.

I'm just steaming a bit over this and needed to let it all out!

P.S. There is such a thing as paying it forward and payback. You do for me with no strings or concerns about etiquette and I'll do in kind when an opportunity arises! Why is it always about proper posh-posh?

She can be somewhat pretentious at times, too. My co-worker thinks she's above her station, so to speak.
 
You co-worker needs to close the pie-hole. :mad:

I have often gone to visit people and they take me out to dinner. They've insisted on it as their role of hosts. I (and I am 100% sure you do this too) return the favor when the time is right. Sometimes we send a gift after our visit or just do the same when they come to visit.

People like your co-worker are relationship destroyers IMO. Scorekeeping in a friendship never goes well.

I did CCV4 at the orchard with the pups. I repeated challenge 3. It started to rain when we were halfway through. The pups are so funny, they looked at me with this "can't you hurry up se we can get out of the rain" look. Buster had his first round of treatment yesterday and seems to be doing okay.

Tricia - Your coworker sounds like a harpy. Ignore her. Your friends took you out to dinner because they wanted to. Who cares other than someone trying to put on airs? :rolleyes:

Thanks for backing me up on this! I just have no idea what her issue was! I will never learn to not share my experiences with people! Maybe someday, I'll learn to keep my mouth shut and be more private!

Only people who aren't actually of any breeding worry about that stuff. Those of us with breeding know how to be gracious at all times, she failed. :p
