I went to the doctor today. My ears look good. She gave me an extra prescription of cephlax just in case it comes back. She also ordered a diabetes/blood glucose test. I have had a history of insulin resistance and type II is associated with these kinds of infections. I'm going to try to combat it with diet, exercise, yoga, and gymnema sylvestre. I don't want insulin, its terrible stuff. I am feeling ok. I just get tired. I wonder if its because the days are short or if its my infection, maybe its a bit of both.
I am enjoying my iphone. I'm using the Spark people app for logging my foods. I'm also using the alarm to help keep myself on track.
Tricia- the recipe for my pepper drink is 4 tbsp of lemon juice (usually about 1/2 a lemon) 1 tsp of raw honey, 1/4 tsp of black pepper, 1 cup of warm water. It is heated (I just warm it for 1 min. in the microwave.) Its an ayurvedic treatment for obesity. I don't know yet if it works, but I do know that its tasty and helps with constipation. I use the organic black pepper because of the sheer amount. You really want to melt the honey into the drink and stir it well. Its tart, not sweet, and a little spicy. Its great for colds because of the amount of vitamin C. Drink it first thing in the morning before breakfast on an empty stomach. It helps improve digestion. I will check out 'Shine on'.
Jane- I hope that your race is great!
