Jogglers May 2013

Really? I've missed that many days?

Hi ladies!

Alisha - How did you like Star Trek? We loved it! MIL left yesterday morning. It's so nice to have our house and routine back! Yay! Pups are doing great! Milo is whining a lot. I think he has had enough of wearing that stupid cone, but the vet said he still has to wear it. We can take it off while we supervise him for a little bit. They're both dozing on the couch and chair right now.

Jane - Congrats on your race! I'll bet the playground workout was a lot of fun! I miss the monkey bars! lol

We took the ferry to Nantucket on Monday and biked some of the island, about 20 miles or so. It was really chilly in the 60s with winds at about 30-40 mph which made it cold, but at least the sun was out - finally! Oddly, my legs were not sore, but they were aching and throbbing by the time we finished up.

Still pretty tired from all the running around and staying up late. I have a friend working on something new for me for a workout schedule. I think I need to shake things up completely and get off of my standard type of workouts. I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

Nothing else new here. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Mini sent us a letter saying that were extending the warranty on the steering pump and cooling fan for 13 years and we just had those replaced in November! This means that we should be getting reimbursed for the expense! I have to go down to the dealership and take all my paperwork so they can submit it. That'll be almost $900 back if it goes through! We could use it!

That's about it for me! Have a great evening! Already looking forward to the weekend!

Its summer!!!

I'm taking a rest day or. . . am I? mmm maybe not. Saturday is supposed to be a scorcher at 97 deg. and I may not want to workout in that. Maybe I should workout today? It would have to be a Cathe. I did some kick box style yesterday and I won't be going outside unless I go to the park. . .maybe I will do that? I don't know, serve me with syrup, I'm a waffle:p

I'm staying home to do paper work and research today. I have the latest 3 episodes of Supernatural on the tivo to enjoy.

Tricia- We loved Star Trek. Your bike trip sounds lovely. Tell us about what your friend has cooked up for your rotation. Yeah for found money!!!

Jane- Good morning!!

Alisha

Good Afternoon!

I am going for a 4 mile run this evening. I had to postpone my run from last night as my sister's work trip got cut short and I had to pick her up from the car rental place so I did not get home until 7pm last night.

Tomorrow is going to be a rest day and then a 5K on Saturday morning at the Blueberry Festival. I can't wait. I love this race even though it's a bit of a drive. Hopefully I can get some blueberries too. They usually go for $1.50/pint which is a good deal. My sister also wants to buy a couple of more plants. We have 4 now and they are doing well and we even have some blueberries but they are not ripe yet.

Alisha ~ I hope you are having a good day and that you get some sort of workout in. I know all about the heat. It's only 88 today.

Tricia ~ I hope you get your money back. That would be awesome! I love returned $$$.

Evening ladies! I'm sweltering! It hit 88 today and I have had both my downstairs and bedrooms a/c units going since about 6 p.m. and it's barely starting to cool down! Stephen is going to be miserable tonight! :(

Alisha - You call it waffling and I call it beagling! lol What did you decide? 97 is pretty darn hot! We love Supernatural, but we're a bit behind! Time to Netflix another season!

As soon as my friend has my plan together, I'll fill you in!

Jane - Oooh! Blueberry run! I wish you could send me some of those $1.50 blueberries! I'm going to do the pick your own this year and see how much they are that way. They're so expensive at the market! Hope you had a nice run tonight!

I need to find me a pair of inexpensive shorts at Target or something this weekend. Neither of my two pairs of shorts fit right now. Maybe by the end of the summer they will!

Work has been busy again! Yay! Real estate has picked up. I hope it stays that way!

We heard that one of our clients committed suicide on Friday. I was shocked. He was such a wonderful and pleasant gentleman. He was 84. We have no idea what happened. The attorney was going to his wake tonight. So sad. :(

I'm so tired of being tired! Ready for the weekend so I can "sleep in." I'm usually up within 30-60 mins. of my normal time to get up even though I'm awake around 6-6:30. It stinks. I wish I could actually sleep until about 8! Not going to do much all weekend besides golf.

Have a great Friday you two!

TGIF!

The run last night was HOT! I felt good in the beginning but was wilting towards the end. Oh well...tis the season.

Today is a rest day and tomorrow will be an early morning to drive to the Blueberry Festival. I'm looking forward to it though. I don't mind getting up early if it's something I want to do.

Tricia ~ I'm sure it will cool off by you soon. We are stuck until October. :)

Fresh Market had blueberries for 1.99 on Monday so I bought 3 pints. I use them in my smoothies all the time. Supposedly the blueberry crop might not be that great this year because of the cold but I still hope the price is the same. My blueberries are turning blue but they aren't quite ripe yet. I want to get some netting because I'm afraid that the birds will get to them. Maybe someday I will have a great crop and I can send you some from my garden.

I'm sorry to hear about your client. My sister's neighbor committed suicide a couple of months ago. He was married and had kids. I think he was around 50. He hung himself in the closet and his wife found him. How horrible is that? Right after that, one of my BIL's client committed suicide as well. So said, even at 84.

I'm glad to hear that you are busy.

Hi Alisha ~ How is the heat today? What do you have planned?

Have a great day!

Last day of the month

Today is Kathy Smith's Cardio Time Saver both 20 min. workouts. I'm sore! Jillian kicked my butt, I didn't really feel it at the time, I guess its doms. My obliques are really feeling it. I will also do some yoga with Shiva Rea.

Jane-I fade in hot weather too. That festival sounds so tasty!! I do love a firm tart blueberry. Ok. . I like them on ice cream or in a cobbler.

It is so terribly sad when someone commits suicide especially for the family. I knew a nice man that committed suicide after he had prostate cancer and his prostate was removed, he said that he didn't feel whole anymore. I just can't imagine the sadness he must have felt. I wished I had been there to help pierce through the sadness. He loved me, I used to call him uncle.:( For that matter, he loved everybody. He helped my Dad become an inspector.

Today should be in the low 90s and tomorrow is supposed to be 95. The first hot one of the year but it makes sense tomorrow is June 1. I plan to just hide out and do paper work today, but tomorrow I will be measuring doors. Its not too bad, its indoors! I should freeze some lemonade in water bottles so I don't expire!

Tricia- Poor Stephen! Try Kmart for the shorts, I've been able to buy cheap ones there and they aren't too ugly. I have a pair of hot pink knit ones for at home. I also like them for Hula dancing. They aren't as restrictive/tight as normal workout clothes. Hula is supposed to flow. I have heard about real estate picking up, locally things are getting better. Golf should help you relax.

Next post will be a new thread!!! Welcome to Summer ladies!!!!

Evening ladies!

Jane - Glad you found some inexpensive blueberries! Have fun at your run tomorrow!

Alisha - Yikes! We hit 93 today. Ugh. I don't know where our nearest KMart is . . . I'll have to check.

I worked out today! Stephen made me do it. I asked him to help me stay accountable.

Nothing much else to report. See you in June!
