Jane- That run sounds great! Well done on your race! I hate cleaning the floor, it seems like it just gets dirty again.

Tricia- How is your pup today?

Last night I went to my movie club we watched the first Bourne Identity movie. I forgot how old that movie was. Its almost 10 years old. Sheesh. Time flies.

I'm about to go for a hike and then its stretch max (prevents all day stiffness).

Tomorrow will be a Cathe Step workout. I'm more pleased with my endurance and fitness than with my weight right now. I'm working on watching my diet closely.

I am doing a leg workout tonight. Lots of squats, some walking lunges, deadlifts and calf raises.

Alisha ~ Great job on your fitness and endurance. The eating will come. Enjoy your hike and stretching. I need to stretch more.

My kitchen floor looks so beautiful but I know by the end of the week it will be dirty again.

Change of plans: I got a DVD from netflix 'Dance Sculpt'. I am going to give it a try.

Sorry about the absence! Between the pups and finding out today that Stephen's mom is coming tomorrow night not Thursday night has had me hopping!

Alisha - Is this a new book club you are trying out?

Jane - Great runs!

I ran last night. Only a 20 minute run/walk to freshen up. I was going tonight too, but we had thunderstorms roll in and I didn't want to chance it.

Milo's lump is way smaller already. I hope it goes away by the weekend! Peanut went for her appointment yesterday and she has a slightly enlarged liver and a partially ruptured eardrum on the right. Sigh. Vet says the liver is okay, it's age related. Just to keep an eye on it. She goes in early tomorrow for dental work. She needs a cleaning and extractions she's been needing since last year due to an abscess, but we were stabilizing her thyroid meds first. It's been a very eventful weekend/week already! I'm upset that Stephen got the date wrong for his mother's visit. I really wish she wasn't coming! There's too much going on right now between the pups and Stephen's comprehensive exams. Can't wait for her to come and go!

I just want some peace and quiet!

I'm so tired every day. Going to try for another run tomorrow if the weather holds out.
 
That was the worst stupidest DVD ever. Seriously, I stopped after 8 min. It was so slow I didn't even see 100 bpm. Sheesh. No point in that nonsense. So, I just stopped and went to work instead. There at least I sweat a lot cause its warm outside.

I will go for a jog/walk or I will do a DVD (that I can rely on!) tomorrow morning before I go to work.

I hate when I hate a video. It is so annoying to waste getting all dressed up.

Tricia- OMG! I can't believe she is coming tomorrow, that stinks! I'm glad your pup is feeling better. I hope that all goes well for Peanut. I am also just getting back in the swing of things with the running. Don't do it in a thunderstorm, you don't want to get electrocuted!

changed my mind

I decided to do MMA boxing today. I forgot its MMA wednesday. I try to do MMA style workouts at least once a week. Also, I don't want to get too much sun, so just running 2x/week. My job is mostly outside.

I took a rest day yesterday. Tonight will be a 4 mile run.

Tricia ~ I'm glad Milo is getting better. I hope the visit with your MIL will go by quickly. I hope you get your run in.

Alisha ~ YIPPEE for MMA. I'm glad you got a good workout in. It's in the high 80's and low 90's now. Summer is officially here.

Not much going on just looking forward to the weekend.

Alisha - Sorry the DVD sucked! Glad you got something else in! I love MMA workouts! I need to start doing mine again, too!

Jane - Looks like your run tonight was decent except for the gnats! That's one thing I don't miss, all the bugs!

I did not run last night. Didn't want to risk it. Right about the end of the day, it started getting really dark and there were storms in the area. Got a little rain, but that was it. I did get a run in tonight. 8 1 minute intervals with 1:30 walk breaks, plus warm up and cool down. My lower legs were awful tonight! Everything felt like it was cramped - my shins, calves and arches. I made it, but it hurt! As soon as I was done, I was fine. Guess I need to stretch them out before starting next time. I may try to go again tomorrow because I don't know what else will be going on with the MIL here. It's supposed to rain all through Sunday.:(:(

We shall see. Supposed to play golf tomorrow evening unless we get storms/rain. Looking forward to practicing what we've learned in out first lesson last Sunday, but we may not get to. Sunday is our 2nd lesson, but there's 30% chance of rain. Again, have to wait and see what's going to happen with the weather.

I've been exhausted and totally fatigued all week. Can't wait to get some rest and feel more energized.

Anyway, hope I get to check in tomorrow night. I should. We aren't planning anything until Friday. Her flight is delayed, so at this point, she won't get here until midnight or later. Love the consideration with the flight planning! :mad:

Tricia- I know you have been tested for the thyroid, but the symptoms of fatigue are a symptom of that. I also know that you struggle with your weight some times (I do too!). I wonder if your thyroid isn't doing what it should. Are you getting enough coconut oil in your smoothies? It really helps with thyroid/energy/weight loss. I hope that its not too unbearable with the MIL. Just think of a MMA workout with her face right about glove height:cool::p

Tomorrow will be a Cathe step workout. I need to do it early. Maybe Step Moves, I don't know which one yet. I need a sweat fest:eek:

36, 30, 24, 18, 12, 6 reps of:

BOSU Jumps
Swings
Pull over sit ups
Shoulder to Shoulder Sandbag Presses
Ball Slams

I am also pulling out the rope to see how long it takes me to do 75 rope slams. My sister and I saw it on Men's Health. I have done 40 slams in a row but never 75. I usually start getting tired at 40 so we'll see what happens.

Tricia ~ I hope you get your golf game in tonight. Sorry the flight was delayed.

I am resting today. That workout last night was rough!

I am doing "Murph" tomorrow morning.

100 pull ups (jumping)
200 push ups

1 mile run

Sorry about the delayed check in. Haven't been on much since MIL got here. It's been fine so far. We went to see Star Trek today because it was raining off and on all day. :(

It's going to clear up for Sunday! Yay! :) Only in the upper 50s though!

Alisha - I think I've been so tired because of all the stress with my puppies and the visit. Milo's lump is almost completely gone. Peanut had an expensive visit at the vets on Monday, then had 9 extractions during her cleaning yesterday morning and that cost a bundle! So, I have one in a cone, one in pain and on soft food for several days and a visiting MIL. Whew!

I keep forgetting to put coconut oil in my smoothies! I do it once or twice, then not again for a few days. I've been putting a tablespoon each time. Do you think that's enough or should I use more?

What workout did you do today?

Jane - Great workouts! Murph is tough too! You'll need another rest day after that! I remember doing that one Memorial Day in S&L group - was it 2 years ago? Had to be. I know I didn't do it last year. I've been a slug for a while.

Wasn't able to play golf. Weather has been so crappy! :(

Good thing is that it's going to clear up after tomorrow! We'll have Sunday and Monday with the sun shining! So at least I'll get my lesson in on Sunday!

All the vet visits cost $2000. We're back in the hole and we had just dug ourselves back out again! Sigh.

I did my old Step Reebok tape with some risers yesterday. Its amazing what risers will do to intensity. I didn't actually get to turbo barre the other day, I'm leaning towards that for this morning. The idea of no shoes is appealing.

This morning, I was super tired. I had weird nightmares and had a hard time waking up. Normally I would run on a day like today; but, I have to go to a celebration for the daughter of a friend and I don't want to get too much sun. I burn badly. Like the angry face red but not angry just ouchie.

Well, my Dad has gotten depressed and quit his job yesterday. I tried to tell him that it was the earthquake and that nothing truly terrible was actually happening but he didn't believe me. So much for that. My Mom may not be able to retire now, I think he is being really selfish. :mad: My Mom is disabled, she has lupus and gets sick a lot from it. So I feel your financial pain, Tricia, we are in it too. :(


Tricia- Only the upper 50s??? Its in the 80s here. I will blow some in your direction. I'm glad Milo's lump is nearly gone, sounds like it was just a cyst, my Dad and I get those sometimes. One tbsp should be enough, that reminds me to do it too!

Jane- I can't do a jumping push up:eek: I'm impressed that you can!! Go Jane!!!!:eek:
 
I'm taking a rest day. I will go for a jog/walk tomorrow followed by Solar yoga.

I have to go do about 4 hours of work. Ciao!

Alisha - I'm so sorry about all the upheaval with your dad quitting his job! :(

It's one thing to lose a job due to no fault of your own, but to quit a perfectly good job for no reason, is selfish and he should never have done that. {{{HUGS}}}

I dreamed about zombies last night. We barely made it to 60 today and it was really windy! Had golf lesson in that today. Gotta learn to deal with the wind any way, right?

Tomorrow is supposed to be up to 72, but we're going to Nantucket to bike the island and it will probably be cooler there. Brrr! Where is summer? :(

We went to tour some of the Newport mansions yesterday. It was unbelievable the decadence and gross gaudiness of these places and they were only used a few weeks out of the year! Only one of the ones we toured was a year round house and it was the most modest and also the one I liked the best. We weren't allowed to photograph anything inside, but I got some outside shots. I haven't taken them off the card yet, but I will and post a few here for you to see.

Besides walking the mansions (it was freezing and raining all day) and golf today, I haven't done a workout since my last run on . . . Wednesday, I think? We'll be biking tomorrow a lot so that'll be good! Tuesday, I'll be back on my regular schedule! Yay!

Next weekend, I am doing NOTHING, but staying home and golf, of course. I can't wait for some peace, quiet, and relaxation!

Jane - Hope your weekend has been going well!

Forgot to add that Milo is still looking really good. He just has to finish off all his anitbiotics. Peanut still has some pain and will be on soft food for several more days. It's only been a few days.

I am going for a jog/walk this morning. I will workout tomorrow and its also my weigh in day. I would weigh in today, but I had some salty food yesterday and I don't like to weigh water weight. No point to it.

Tricia- Thanks for the hugs. I am glad your pups are doing better. Your tour sounds like fun. So. . has MIL left?

Hi Ladies!

I miss you. I just got back from the Memorial 8K where I set a new PR and got 1st in my age group and a great trophy. My sister set a 8K PR and came in 2nd.

I will write more later. I have to shower and get dressed to take my sister to the airport in a couple of hours.

I will bbl for personals.
 
I am doing a mix of the cardio only premix on CW, the belly dance segment of Dance of Belly Fat, and one segment from Tummy Trimmers 10 min of abs. I will workout tomorrow.

My brother and I are going to the Palladio to see Star Trek on 5 dollar Tuesdays. Its great, its so cheap I can afford to go. I wish they sold treats that were tasty. I don't care for the popcorn and the pretzels much.

Jane- Congrats on your race PR!!!

Tricia- Try to get some exercise today. You need it. Its the best antidepressant out there.
 
Happy Tuesday! I go back to work tomorrow.

I had a nice day today. I went downtown with my sister and we went shopping, had lunch, when to the park and walked around the lake and played on the swings. They have some cool jungle gym equipment out there. I had to try some things. I had fun! Weather was beautiful...warm but not humid and breezy.

I did kettlebell workout tonight.

Alisha ~ Sorry to hear about your dad. I get depressed about my job ALL the time but I can't just quit. {{{Hugs}}} to you!!!

I bet I could help you on those jumping pull ups. I don't mind them too much but the push ups are horrible. My upper body was so sore from them.

Tricia ~ I'm glad you made it through the weekend and are back on schedule. So happy the pups are getting back to normal as well.
 
I'm trying Banish Fat Boost Metabolism today. I have only done that one a couple of times. After that I will go to work, I am measuring a couple of corridors and a pool ramp. I must stop at the store on the way home. We are out of everything.

Jane- Thanks for the hugs. I can do a regular push up most of the time but a jumping one? no way.
