I am probably taking a rest day. I'm a bit sore from yesterday. I might do some yoga later.

Jane- Great job on your run and your workout.

Time flies!

Howdy do ladies!

Alisha - DVR kills us too! We spend way too much time in front of the tv. That's why in October when our contract runs out with DirecTV, we're cancelling it, trimming down our shows and going to get more reading and other things done. I have not gotten a workout in yet. It is taking me a little longer to recover from our trip. Working on Friday was a mistake. I should have taken that day off to get all the laundry and shopping done. Oh, well.

Jane - Your workouts are so killer! You'd squat me into the ground! :eek: We did have a fabulous time and I feel so good! I hope that feeling lasts!

Saturday, we took the boat out for the first time! Stephen had run down to the marina on Friday and it was in the water at the dock, so we went out. We had fun. Some tricky parts figuring some stuff out as we went, but it all went fine. No camera or pictures since I, personally, am uncomfortable on the water and I didn't want to do anything but focus on what I was supposed to do. By the time we we got back to the dock, I was comfortable. It'll take a few times out to really get my sea legs though! Sunday, was my last golf lesson. It was really hot, but I love the heat, so I enjoyed it!

All that means that I didn't get grocery shopping done until tonight, but tomorrow I'm on my workouts full steam! All the laundry and shopping are done and I can get focused on what I really need to do now!

I'm doing Kathy Smith's Timesaver Cardio. Then its off to work. And I have a dr. appointment in the afternoon. I will workout tomorrow.

Its supposed to be awfully hot at the end of the week, in the 100s for 6 days straight. Bleh. Its nice and rainy right now.

Tricia- Boating always looks like fun.

Tricia ~ I'm glad you had fun sailing over the weekend. It's sounds like lots of fun. I'm happy to know that you are taking things easy until you get your sea legs.

Alicia ~ We have the rainy humid weather back right now which is nice since we need the rain. Hope all goes well with your doctor appointment.

No workouts for me yet. Short post because I took out another finger last night chopping a tomato. Stephen practically had to tourniquet it with a big bandaid. It;s painful and really ugly. Le sigh. Will always wear my glove from now on!

I'm going for a hike in about a half hour. Tomorrow will be a rest day. I have to go to a nasty neighborhood meeting about the encroaching development right outside the ranch. Its awful. I hope they get the feeling they just want to go away. Today.

I will spend the whole day at work measuring countertops.

Tricia- Cut the veggies, not the little piggy fingers. I hope it feels better soon. You can sprinkle ginger on it for pain relief.

Jane- Well done on that workout.

Tonight will be a 4 mile run. It will be ugly because it's hot but I gotta do it.

Tricia ~ So sorry you have a boo-boo. I hope it feels better soon.

Alisha ~ Hope you had a great hike. I hope the meeting tomorrow doesn't get too bad. I hope it all works out for you guys.
 
Alisha - Hope you had a nice hike! I hope they give up on the project! I keep learning new things! I'll remember that about ginger for next time, but, hopefully, there won't be a next time!

Jane - Hope your run was okay! It's been terribly hot and humid up here! Yes, I said humid! We never have bad humidity, but it's been terrible this week!

I'm still not working out yet. Hoping to get a round of golf in tomorrow after work. It hasn't been raining or storming with all this heat, but there have been thunderstorms around us in the evenings. We've lucked out! Hope it holds! I really want to play!

Hi Jane! Mr. Spectaculars! I love when I see those in your workouts! I always imagine some bodybuilder hanging out with you! lol

No golf. The weather was stinky rainy. Bummer. I was so looking forward to it, injured finger and all!

I did get in a little Zumba tonight on my Kinect! Yay! I have a long way to go. I'm so angry with myself!!! I had so many opportunities to stop the downslide and I knew it and just didn't. Maybe my anger is part of my problem, too. I have so many issues. I feel like a basket case and like I need a straight jacket!

Work has been busy, busy! I don't know when it actually turned, but we are finally busy in the real estate department. I found out yesterday that they put an ad in the paper for a real estate paralegal. Really? That's what I trained for and what I wanted when I went to work there. Instead, I have been a typist/secretary for 10 years with a little dabble in RE. Found out it's a temp position to get us through the summer because Martin (the attorney who can't do anything without me) fusses when he can't have me sitting there waiting for him all day long. It really pisses me off!

I told Stephen about it and I told him that this would be what I used when I quit when he gets a job. I will tell them that because of Martin, I will never achieve the position I wanted there and need to think about my career and getting what I want out of it and not be held back because of one person.

Sigh. I can't get a break anywhere right now!

Hope you two are getting along better than I am!

I'm leaning towards some yoga this evening, something higher intensity, maybe a Yoga Today or Shiva Rea. Tomorrow will probably be a Jillian circuit and then Sunday will be a Cathe step workout. I'm trying to shift some of my workouts to weekends when I don't have to drive to work.

Jane- Well done on that workout!!!

Tricia- I like Zumba. Thats so funny about the Spectaculars. You don't need a straight jacket, you probably just need some Ashwaghanda and to recognize that most people respond poorly to a full moon, and we just had a doozey. That sucks about them hiring a different person for the paralegal position. I left a job for a similar type thing, they hired me as a lab tech, but I had all this experience in audio production, then they gave the audio job at the radio station to a chick with no experience but big boobs. I was pissed. :mad::mad: At least you have Stephen to help you feel better. Enjoy your golf day!

Here is tonight's workout. I hope it doesn't rain. Yesterday it rained but it stopped by the time I got home. If it rains and I can still workout under the carport, I will do jump rope instead of the running. I can walkout under my carport as long as it is not lightening or if the floor is wet. It is too slippery then. I think it's shaping up to be a raining summer. I don't mind that I don't have to water the plants but it wrecks my running/workout schedule.

[FONT=&quot]The Mr. Spectaculars are hard. My sisters hate them. Three - five reps are pretty hard. I did them with 25# kettlebells but had to go down to 18# on the middle of the second round. I love the movement because it is a compound exercise that works the whole body.[/FONT]

Alisha - Hope you had a nice yoga workout last night!

Jane - Looks like this summer is going to stink big time! Glad the rain quit in time for your workout! Hope you keep that luck up! I have no trust or respect for them anymore, not just because of this incident, but also what happened last month, which I'm pretty sure I told you about. The whole "My name is on the door, so you are nothing" thing.

That's okay, I'm just biding my time until Stephen gets a job, then I'm out. I'll figure out what to do at that point.

No sailing or golf this weekend. Sigh. It's just too wet for golf and we're supposed to get more thunderstorms in the area today and tomorrow.

At least I can get some reading done and more Zumba or something.
