Jogglers December!!!!

I took yesterday as a rest day after all. I was so busy. And the hot water heater ain't working, I won't workout without the knowledge that I can take a shower afterwards. I consider a public service;)

This morning I am doing LIC, the new one. I wonder if Cathe knows that naming the new workouts with the same letters as the old ones doesn't help:p
Tomorrow will be MMA boxing.

Last night I went to my book club mtg. I had cauliflower soup, salmon, and green beans. I was so well behaved.

Jane- I am so sorry to hear about your boss:(

Tricia-I hope to drop a few pounds in January too. I'm making plans already. I make myself rotations and write out my goals and then put my workouts in my calendar. That way I don't forget.

Alisha - Sucks about your water heater! I've read about benefits to cold showers, but have no intention of trying it! At least not up here where it's freezing cold in winter! Brrrr! Hadn't thought about Cathe's workouts having the same abbreviations! lol Guess she's running out of unique names! Your meal at your book club sounds delicious!

I don't think I'm going to do specific rotations anymore. I keep changing mid-stream. What I'm going to do is set a type of workout for specific days, like weights or HIIT or kickbox and decide on the particular workout on that day.

My Ilaria workouts came at lunch today! We never get delivery before 6 p.m.! FedX must have known I really wanted to do one tonight, which I did and I'm in love! It was hard and pure kickbox. It'll take me a bit of time to get used to the moves and combinations which get really complex (to me) and she moves into new moves quickly! I'm sure I'll really burn the calories once I get better! I am going to get all her workouts at some point!

Jane - Hope you had a good workout tonight! Tomorrow's Friday! I hope you are off on Monday for the holiday!

Alisha - I hope your hot water heater is fixed. Yikes! I don't like cold showers not matter how hot I am, I still need a little heat. Your book meeting dinner sounded yummy! I love Salmon.

Tricia - I think you are on the right track regarding rotations. I don't think I have ever done a rotation. I do what you do and try to rotate strength, cardio, etc. Sounds like great plan for 2012.

Work is really quiet. There are only 2 of us in the office right now. We do have Monday off so that is great. Looking forward to a long weekend.

Yesterday I went for a 3 mile run. It's great to see that the days are getting longer. Right now sunset is 5:44 but by January 8th it will be 5:51!

Here's tonight's workout:

Hi Jane! Glad your week was quiet at work! We were maniacal! Today was the busiest and our receptionist has been out all week, then the other girl who helps me with the closings didn't come back to work after lunch because she got pissed off at one of the attorneys. Yeah, so you're mad, but think of the other two you're leaving behind to pick up the extra work! Sheesh! She's the boss's girlfriend so she can get away with that. THAT pissed me off, but did I get to leave work and pout? NO! Oh, well. We made it through and finished up on time without her.

On a good note, Stephen texted me at work to tell me that my home winemaking kit had arrived today! Yippee! Another new hobby! I'm really excited about this and have a lot to learn before I can even start! Then, we have to decide what kind of concentrate to order to start our first batch! Already decided on Cabernet Sauvignon, but there are tons of product out there, so . . . research, research, research! Each batch takes about 30-75 days and makes 6 gallons of wine! That's going to be a LOT of wine! lol I hope it turns out well! I'll keep you guys updated on it!

So, I didn't get around to a workout because I wanted to unpack my kit, make sure it was intact and everything was there. All the equipment is so foreign to me, but I plan to be very intimately acquainted with it in no time!

I'll do 2 workouts tomorrow. Probably Ilaria and yoga, unless Stephen can drag me out for a run again, then I'll run and do yoga.

Hi Alisha! Hope you had a fab day!

I am going to try Lotte Berk's Method for Beginners: Muscle Eats Fat. I got it from Netflix. Tomorrow will definitely be a Cathe step workout. Probably the 4DS double step Cardio.

I've been really lazy all day. I was reading Jillian Michael's Master your Metabolism. Its pretty much just all about eating clean. She talks about hormonal issues that people may be fighting. She recommends against soy and eating cruciferous foods raw because they adversely effect your thyroid. She also recommends against a fasted workout, something to do with catabolic issues, basically eating muscle. She said that a person should have a small snack and a small cup of coffee or green tea about an hour before the workout. I will be doing that, as going completely fasted was really hard. I just don't want to eat anything that will come up on me.

I'm not looking forward to Sunday's weigh in, but I am just sick of being over weight. I want to lose 40 pounds this year. The only way that happens is a combination of weighing my eats, eating clean, cardio, yoga, and weighing my body. Otherwise, it can get worse and I don't even know until I'm 5 pounds in the hole.

Tricia-I really like your idea about rotations, basically I'm on board with that. I just set it by what type of workout and pick on that day. Besides, how would I remember? My brains are no good until after my workout! Your Stephen is a good influence. Nobody drags me out for a run. Its just my own will power. And sometimes that won't wake up.:p

Jane- The water heater is fixed!! I took a hot one this morning, it felt really good! Much better than baby wipes.

Last post of the year!

I did 4DS double cardio as my last workout of the year. It was a lovely 530 calorie burn. I love that one. Its one of my favorites. Tomorrow will be a joggle. The forecast promises 10 days of sunshine and I plan to take advantage of it.

Happy New Years' Eve,

Alisha
