JOGGLERS APRIL 2014

Jane - Glad to hear your mom is doing better! We had rain/sleet/snow last night! I also had a sick puppy! Milo was up and down all night puking. I didn't get any sleep until after 4:30 a.m. It sucked big time. My poor pup! Don't know what triggered it, but I think he's suffering from the pancreatitis again. He ate some chicken and rice tonight. I slept on the couch with him at my feet and Peanut half on me and half on my pillow for a couple of hours. I'm hoping that he will be better tonight as I have to be up at 6:00 a.m. to be at PT at 7:30 tomorrow morning.

I was impressed that I did so well with my run tonight after no sleep! I made it to 2.5 miles tonight non-stop! I think what music I play makes a huge difference! lol The rest of the week will be interesting. I have Plyo Legs tomorrow, then another run on Friday. We shall see . . .

Alisha - How are you doing?

[FONT=&quot]Tricia ~ Sorry to hear about your sick puppy. Hope he was better than last night. I hate when I get no sleep and have to be at work.

[FONT=&quot]Great job with the running. I run so much better in the morning but can only do that on Sundays. When I run after work, I am so sluggish. I don't listen to music though.

Jane - That's a great workout! I'm hoping Milo will bounce back from this more quickly than last time. At least he's not puking, but he wouldn't eat dinner.

I'm so not a morning person! The first run I did last week I had to do without music because my headphones didn't fit. That was brutal! I just can't do it! Besides, the music helps me keep a steady pace!

I did Plyo Legs today. We shall see what tomorrow brings with my run after that! Ouch!

Alisha - Hope you are feeling better!

I had a dreadful night, last night I had a terrible migraine. but, I'm feeling much better now and my hand is feeling good and I am able to walk without any great difficulty so I am hoping to be back at walking tomorrow:)

Tricia– I'm so sorry that Milo has been ill

Jane – I also prefer to run in the morning otherwise it's just too hot

Hi Alisha!

Sorry you've been having such a bad time! Glad you are feeling better! Hope you are able to get back into a normal routine soon!

I finished Meso 3 Week 1 today with Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps, plus a stretch! I did the shoulder work to test out how my PT has been doing. Beautiful! No pain or weakness, so I'm hoping to be "cured" really soon! She bumped me down to once a week and I'll get another eval in a couple of weeks. I'll be glad to be done! It's been draining my HSA account and I wanted to use that money for new glasses this year!

Hi Jane! Hope you are having a good weekend!

BTW, Happy Easter!

I took yesterday as a rest day and I hope to try some step today.

Tricia I'm glad the PT is helping. How was your Easter?

Jane how was your Easter did you go for a run?

I'm here.

Friday was a rest day. We had to take mom to her appointment in Gainesville. We had to drive in the rain all the way there and back but her appointment went well.

Saturday I did an upper body workout (still feeling it).

Sunday was a 7 mile run with my sister, then came home and ran another 2 with my other sister.

I am working out today but don't have a workout yet. It's so nice to see the sun today. We've had 3 days of clouds and rain.

Alisha ~ I'm glad you are feeling better.

Tricia ~ Glad your shoulder is getting back to normal.

Evening ladies!

Alisha - Hope you are feeling better!

Jane - Glad your mom's appointment went well! Also glad you saw the sun again!

Easter was pretty much just another day for us. This weeks is brutal. Milo's been sick as you know and this morning Stephen had to take him in to the vet. His blood work came back with high WBC and high liver levels. Sent him to the emergency vet in East Greenwich where they did an ultrasound. He had an obstruction in his intestine which meant he needed emergency surgery. He had that back at our regular vet office this afternoon. He had a clump of grass that blocked an area of his intestine and because it was there so long, it killed a section of the intestine. They were able to cut it out and stitch the intestines back together and wrapped it for extra protection in case the stitches break. He's still pretty critical, but they sent him home because they don't have staff on overnight and there isn't anything else they can do anyway. His core body temp is still low so we could still lose him overnight. If he makes it through, I have to take him back to the vet in the morning to be evaluated and maybe get more warm IV fluids. The next 3-4 days will be touch and go for him.

Needless to say, my workout schedule is screwed this week and today I had trail mix, spaghetti and ice cream. Bad food day for me. If Milo is better tomorrow, I'm hoping to get back on my workouts.

He is my little fragile butterfly. Peanut is a tank.

Have a good day tomorrow! I'm hoping to still have two beagles driving me crazy!

Tricia I'm sorry that Milo has been sick, don't worry, your workouts will be there when he is better.

Jane I am glad that your mom is feeling better.

I am up to my eyeballs in frosting getting ready for my friends wedding which is not this Saturday but is this falling Saturday and I am baking the cake, it's a three tiered cake with a butter cream frosting and a coconut caramel filling. I have not been exercising. although I did get a couple of walks in this week. I put away Mt. Saint laundry this morning. I can't do anything with my clothing everywhere.

Tricia ~ I have been praying for Milo. I hope all is well this morning. Don't worry about your workouts just take care of your little buddy.

Alisha ~ Up to your eyeballs with frosting is a good thing!!!! Anything with frosting is a good thing in my book. The cake sounds wonderful. Hope you will post a picture when you are done with it.

I took Tuesday off. Wednesday was a 4 mile run. Thursday and Friday are rest days as I am doing a 10K on Saturday. It is our big Rose Weekend and the town is buzzing. The weather looks to be pretty good. Not as cool as last year but temps should be around 60 degrees.

TGIF!

Evening ladies!

Alisha - At least you're getting in some walks. That cake does sound amazing! I, too, would like to see it when you're done!

Jane - Good luck on your 10K this weekend!

Thank you for all the prayers! He's doing a bit better each day. Still not eating a lot, but a teensie bit more today than yesterday, so I'll take it. His temp has been steady at just over 100, but we'd like to see it between 101.5 and 102.5. He did hit 101.6 yesterday evening, but has been back at just over 100 today both times I checked it. We still have a few days of danger and he still needs to have a bowel movement. He goes back to the vet on Wednesday for a final post-op visit. He went to the vet yesterday morning because he wanted to see Milo due to how low his temp was when they sent him home.

He is a trooper and Stephen said he had been a real pain in the tush today! Guess that's good news!

I couldn't have worked out anyway. We are both totally exhausted from being up most of the night over this past week. Stephen had to go to UConn today when I got home from work. He lost all connection with all of his computers at work today. He has 3 weeks to get all his data together for a conference. He's starting to freak out a little!

Have a great night! Hoping the pups sleep more tonight!

Jane how was the race?

Tricia I hope Milo is feeling better.

I have a big bruise on the back of my left calf I didn't get with the door on the dryer. I'm thinking about going for a hike today, I don't want to waste these last cool days before the hot days get here.

Hi Chicklets!

The 10K race went well. I didn't set a PR but I didn't do my worst time either. I just came in middle. That was fine with me. It is such a hard race with lots of hills and humidity. It was a very foggy morning. This weekend will be another 10K that I have not done before.

Yesterday I did an upper body workout. I am feeling it today.

Tonight is a rest day.

Tricia ~ How is Milo doing? Still sending him lots of prayers and good thoughts.

Alisha ~ I get bruises and most I don't know where they came from. I hope you got your hike in yesterday. We haven't had really hot weather yet. I just turned on my a/c for the first time on Saturday. We just keep getting lots of rain and I am unable to mow my lawn because we have water sitting in certain areas. We are getting more today, tomorrow and Thursday and it looks like I will be living in a jungle soon. Seriously we have gotten 22 inches of rain already this year and it's only April. I wish I could redirect some to you.

Jane did you get it work out today?

Tricia how is Milo today?

I did 30 minutes of high low aerobics today. I hope to get a workout in tomorrow in the morning, before breakfast.
