Are you ladies ready for this? I just got the job offer...they are giving me $17,000 more than what I make now AND I'll be eligible for the annual bonus, which is about 10% of my salary.

I'm SO psyched I can't even believe it!!!! I'm also so glad I didn't take that job in Iowa.

Thanks everyone. I am on Cloud Nine right now, let me tell you. I also got an email from my new boss a few minutes ago, "I don't know if should congratulate you or me?? I am very excited about
you joing our team and working together". How cool is that? It's so nice knowing that I'm going to like my boss.

I start on June 27. I was supposed to take the week of June 20 for vacation, but I'm going to pass on that so I can help my current employer get ready for my departure. Of course, I'll have July 4 off and HSBC (my new employer) has given me a half day on July 7 and all of July 8 off because my daughter is the flower girl in a wedding on the 8th. So there's some time off.

My daughter is going to have to go back to daycare 5 days a week for the rest of the summer, though. That kind of sucks. Oh well, it's only 2 1/2 months.

I'm going out to buy a new outfit for my first day to celebrate. Any excuse for new clothes, eh?:)
 
Donna congratulations !!! I have missed the new job thread after you declined the Iowa position. Will you be staying in Orchard Park or relocating?

Staying in Orchard Park. This job is in downtown Buffalo. It's the first time I'll actually be working in the city. I'm pretty psyched about that because I have a few friends who left my last employer around the same time I did that are working down there now. It will be nice to get together for lunches! It's also about 9 miles closer to my house.
