Who has jeans they love? I tried to get some It! jeans from thedenimshop.com and they look pretty good on, but I'm not sure good enough for the price. I have short, thick legs, so I need something that will make me look longer and leaner (don't most of us, afterall???)

thanks,

Love, love, love this website:

Just answer the questions about problem areas, size, fit, etc. and it will give you a list of jeans that are supposed to work best for your body. It worked for me!

Good luck!

I love True Religion the "Joey" styles. My DH hates them-he hates low rise jeans-whatever.

Since the return of the high waist is back I have several really flattering pairs, look for them at Anthropologie (my favorite store of all time, I wish I could move in!)

JCPenney A.N.A. jeans, the low-rise stretch boot cut is DESIGNED for the curvy woman so, if that's you, definitely check them out. I manage to get them on sale for $19.99 usually. I swear, those jeans get me LOADS of compliments from my male co-workers. Even one female said "Those are YOUR jeans, girl." And get the price!!!! $200 for a pair of jeans? Oh, pleeeeeeeeze...

My current faves are Paige Premium Denim. They are pricey, but oh, the fit!! They hug my lower body and make me look as though I have curves where I don't ;). I also love the fact that the fit isn't tight--there's some stretch there--and it's mid-rise (at least the style that I have, which I think is called Hollywood Hills), so you're not showing things you don't mean to.

Love 'em!

I love my Lucky Brand jeans. They were a splurge for me but well worth the price IMHO. I also just bought a pair of 1969 Jeans from the Gap and I like the way they fit too.

I have to agree. These jeans fit me better than any other pair I own.

I will echo another poster about True Religion. I can't live without them. For years, I would buy cheaper jeans that I'd wear once or twice, they'd lose their shape immedaitely, and I'd never wear them again.

TR fits me like a glove, makes my butt look AMAZING, and the twisted seam lengthens your leg to the eye. I have to have all of mind altered, since I'm so short, but that's the case with any pants I own.

They may be $180-300 depending on the style, but I paid far more than that trying to find the "right" pair of jeans every season, and inevitably giving up.

I have 3 pairs that last me through every weekend. One of them is now 3 yrs old, and looks as good as the day that I bought them after being washed to pieces.

There is something to be said about "you get what you pay for"!

Great site, weathergirl!

The easy riders run maybe a little big, I order a size 4. I can wear a 4 in some of the wider leg styles, cause it gives me room in the thighs (where I am at my largest), and small in the hips-where I am at my smallest. ;)
I find some of the wider leg styles at Anthropologie in a 4 fit very well. But if the legs are more narrow I most certainly will wear a 6!:7
I hope that answers your questions. I love VS for their PJ's and those wide leg jeans!

tneah, how tall are you? I'm only 5'3" and wonder if wide legs jeans would just make me look shorter?

I am 5'7'. I think if you wanted to try the wider leg look, a pair of platforms (the cute kind, not the KISS kind:7 ) worn with the jean would give you a longer look. Also, you have to wear a more fitted jacket/top to even out the whole look. I wear them with my Frye boots too, very cute. Oh and they are not called easy riders, they are called easy wide legs or something like that, they don't have pockets on the back either which I think is cute for this particular pair. Check them out!

I've given up on finding a jean that will look good on me. I look like crap the backside anyway in every jean that I have tried on so far. I just have a funky shaped butt. It disgusts me. YIKES! so I have decided to look only at the front. Just a joke!

I've been hearing good things about Paige Denim. Can you tell me how they fit? When I go to their website, their sizing information doesn't give measurements. All the do is compare the 24, 25, 26, etc. to size 00, 0, 2, etc. Since sizing is so random, that doesn't help. Do they run big, small?

Thanks for any help! :)

I've always had a butt. When I weighed 113 I had a butt. To get a pair of jeans to fit my butt, the waist then sticks out so far and a belt still doesn't make them look right. I would love to be able to wear all the fun jeans my girlfriends wear right off the rack. I know that alterations is an option. When I feel like I'm not at my desired weight I don't want to make the investment in pricey jeans or alterations. The only jeans I have ever found to fit perfect are St. Johns Bay at JC Penney. Haven't tried the ANA. I would really like some cooler name brand in the future. I do want to stay hip and in style.
