Jeans - pain to buy & funny story

I have such a hard time finding jeans! In the last few days, I have visited Express, the Gap, Abercrombie, several department stores and a few stores that I am sure are popular (but I had neverheard of) in the local mall. I found one pair that I might have bought and then decided to put them back (b/c they really were not great).

Here's the problem...First, I am almost 6 feet tall. Second, I have hips and a butt. If I can get a pair long enough (they must be "long" or "tall" and even some of those are too short!), then I have a hard time getting them up my hips (!) OR they pucker out INCHES when I sit and the whole world can see my bum crack :( The girl told me to try on smaller ones and even then, good god, they buckled out in the back (not tomention it was hard to sit anyway b/c I couldn't breathe).

I used to wear a victoria's secret jean called the "V fit," that were 2 or 3 inches longer in the back than they were in the front to eliminate "panty peek." I *loved* these but they were phased out. I wore the two pair I had until they tore (a good 5 or 6 years mind you) and only one is somehwat "wearable" at this point. I shopped like a crazy lady this weekend, only to check "just in case" and learn that the "V fit" is now back at VS. Bet your bootie I ordered 'em right up!

BUT....what brands do you guys wear that don't pucker out back like that!? Or is it really just my body and jeans really don't work well for me?

I have the same problem. I don't have a booty, but I have the hipsters. And to get anything to fit there they are too big in the waist  Ann Taylor or ATL are the main stores I get my jeans from. Even then I am not competely satisfied. Still with a bit of gap  Maybe I should try the VS ones

The AG Legend Dakotas are my favorite pair of jeans. They run long. But, I got them on marked down and on sale with buy one get one free, with free hemming. They are cut for a bootay and smaller waist.

My second favorite are Joe's Honey jeans. They have more of a masculine look to them though. So, I don't wear them often. The waist on the Joes run larger than the AG jeans.

I think Paige jeans also have a style cut for those of us blessed with bootays.

My favorite pair of jeans is seven for all mankind, dojo cut. I went to www.zafu.com and filled out the questionnaire there and they listed jeans that would fit me properly. This kind was listed. They are way too expensive in the department stores, so I've actually gotten two pair off of ebay for under $60. I love them, love them, LOVE them!!! (and they make my butt look good too....gotta love that!!)

Anyway, you should try out www.zafu.com. I think I found out about it on this website to begin with, and it really is a good resource for finding jeans that fit. Good luck!!
