Jari Love Fans--Weight Worksheets Available

Lainie, I think she is great!! I am a very thin woman but I
find her hard to look at on occassion. I have some of her dvd's
and she is strong but do you find her too thin?

Ok, I can't say this on another board I'm on, but YES. She is TOO thin!!! The woman needs some private time with Ben and Jerry!! I end up eating ice cream every time I do one of her workouts. Ok, so that's a bit counterproductive :+, but I keep thinking she needs some and that makes me want some! :9

However, Ripped 1000 is a good workout and I like it, so I'm keeping an eye out for it. I do like the guy in that one and the girl on the left side of the screen, so I watch them instead. :)

I much prefer Cathe and her gang because I think they're all the picture of health and fitness.

I agree. I prefer Cathe and co. Jari must either have a speedy
metabolism perhaps or simply does not eat the calories to cover
what she looses through exercise. It look a little painful to me.
 
I feel the same way about how very thin she looks. But I though it was just me because so many people rave about her workouts. Then I go to Collage Video to see what I'm missing and I am just thrown off by her skinniness.

I like Jari's workouts, but since the first one, it seems like she's losing even more weight. I find her hard to look at as well at times. Her ribs show, and it's not like she has strong abs, but that there is so little body fat over them that they would show no matter what.

In one workout, she points out how her body and another backgrounder's body (who looks great!) have changed because of her program: I can't help thinking that if those are the kind of results one gets from doing her workouts, I don't want to do them very often!

I also keep thinking of how the camera supposedly adds 10# or so to one's look. If so, she would look pretty anorexic in person.

I picked up Get Ripped at Ross the other day and did think she looked like she had more meat on her bones in that picture. Haven't done that workout yet, but for $5, I figured I could have it on my shelf. ;)

yeah she is pretty thin! I was wondering if she just has a really small frame. I love her workouts though.. but I tend to lift a bit more than her. I think her helpers in the videos look great though.

She is thin and bony, but like somebody else posted, I mostly watch the blonde girl (to the left of Jari in GR1000). I am tall and thin, but not skinny. My goal is to bulk up some and I know that this workout is fun, a great workout, and I won't get skinny and bony from it b/c I will eat to build muscle. I often start the week with this one, then do Cathe workouts for the rest - in the end, the girls (and in STS, the guys!) are better to look at and think - yeah, I want to look like that (ok - I don't want to look like the guys in STS - just like to look AT them :). They all look great, but also very real.
 
my ribs show and always have and i am not thin-thin. i am 5'3 and my weight fluctuates from 103-106, depending upon TOM, etc. maybe jari is one of those people who are just really, really thin by nature and she is doing what she can to bulk up and add weight. i remember a girl i knew in college who was so skinny her doctor had her eating tons and tons as well as consuming drinks like ensure, etc. she was just a skinny, tall girl. she said in high school she would cry because people would tease her and call her anorexic.
 
Well, she is skinny, but it doesn't really bother me to watch her. I like the variety of people she has with her, particularly the age ranges. I also would prefer to look like Cathe but I think Lorie makes a good point, some people just have that kind of skinny body naturally. Of course, those of us who don't may think it would be nice to be so thin, but they have their own challenges. I myself am naturally curvy, which has it's advantages, but it also means I put on weight a little too easily.

Anyway, I generally prefer to lift heavier but sometimes I like to vary it with Jari's workouts, especially right now as I'm looking to lose a few pounds again. I don't burn as many calories as she says you can, but I still burn more calories with her kind of weight training than with many of my other workouts. I also find that helpful when my cardio is limited (like now with a sprained ankle).

I think she once said that she used to be overweight.
 
Lainie - Thank you for doing this! I love Get Ripped 1000 and will be happy to send you the weight info next time I do it. I may not know the exact names for the moves though - I'll do my best, and call it what she calls it - just don't remember if she names them all the time.

Thanks! Most of the time I just used what each chapter on the chapter menu was called since she has good chapter breaks.

I really like Jari's workouts. I did the Strong and Lean one, but with weights a bit heavier than what she did.

The next day I felt the "Good Sore" feeling.

I have Get Ripped 1000, Ripped to the Core and Strong and Lean.

Her workouts are great - and I like her personality.

Does anybody know how old she is? She is so pretty.
