January week of 1/9

missed posting. we had two showings of the house so that means Intense Cleaning.
Ran out of time for all of Intensity today. I lied. I ran out of energy. So I did the Step and Hiit Hi and added weight & plate abs. That was enough.
I wish this town would shut down for snow. I think we've had 44 inches so far this winter. The really scary stuff is coming next week. Face peeling below zero stuff.
Anyway. I want to know what energy drinks and or food you gals take. I need some. :) You're amazing.
I'm committed to Kick Punch and Crunch tomorrow.
 
I just got done with Imax3 tonight,its the 2nd time I've done this one. The 1st time I couldn't even pass the warm up,tonight I did up to interval 7 and I did it on a 4" step. This is a tuff one. I can do Imax 1&2 all 10 intervals on a 6":rolleyes:

Colleen....WOWy on your weather. Makes my weather seem kinda tropical, ya know? I like winter, till about Valentine's Day but by that point I'm ready for Spring. I don't drink/eat any kind of energy stuff, so I can't help ya on that.

Teri, it's been a while since I've done IMax 3....I might just do that tomorrow. Hmmmmm.....

I'm checking in now, just in case I can't anymore today. I was up early and knocked out Disc 2 Back and Tris. After the kids get out the door, I have to drop my car at the shop and am planning on running a 5K home then doing the floor and standing work (Leg Conditioning Drills) from LBB.....I LOVE those drills in a sick sort of way. Then I'll scramble to get ready for school/work, then AFTER school older DS has a basketball game about 30 mins away so it will be a scramble to get THERE on time. THEN.....since the game is in the same town that has my FAVE running store, I'm planning on stopping there on our way home.
WAIT.....................can I have some energy drink, please? :D

OK...just a drive by update post......I ran 3.59 after dropping my car, then did the floor/band work and Leg Conditioning Drills of LBB....I LOVE those!

I agree that the floor and conditioning drill work in LBB is fantastic (and painful!). I started adding in extra leg work to my rotation as of this week and plan to include those segments for sure!
 
Not feeling well today so I'm going to skip my KPC and go to bed early.I feel like I have glue in my veins.

I'm taking sort of a recovery day...slept in a bit and bypassed my 'whatever-strikes-my-fancy' workout. I will hit the Y pool after school...I WILL. My mind is telling me I don't wanna, but I WILL! I've got a long run of 8 tomorrow, and another group run Sunday of about 6-7, that's the reason for a lower intensity day today.....need fresh legs for both runs....but I don't want it to be a LAZY day. Know what I mean?

Sorry to go MIA but I've got a doozy of a cold and I'm going to lay low for two days. That's what I'm giving myself to feel better. I'm getting sick and I can't afford to be sick! I'll be back.:(

Swim DONE! Progress again today. I did just my 1/4 mile but with MUCH less kickboard and rest in between. MUCH less. I won't bore you with the details, but trust me when I say I rested LESS! :)

Date #2 was supposed to be tonight, but my new friend got sick 2 days ago so we put it off. We're running together tomorrow morning with our group, and again on Sunday, so we'll chit chat then.

Happy Saturday. I hope whatever you have planned for today, it goes as planned and you rock it.....workout, personal, kids, errands, whatever!

This morning was my group run and it was a goodie. A new route that took us up some HUGE hills. Really.....hard hills. It was 8 degrees out, too. But it ROCKED! I ran with the 'fast kids' today and felt like I belonged there....my running continues to get stronger. I logged my scheduled 8 miles and felt great the whole time....well, besides my numb fingers at the end there. Bought a new pair of gloves and they are going BACK to be exchanged for a different pair. :D
 
Glad you had a nice run Gayle. Don't you love running in winter? I think it's the prettiest in the snow. Reading your posts is making me envious (in a good way) I used to run but I got tired of spider veins popping out on my face from the cold weather in winter. Vanity:eek:. So back to all Cathe in doors.
I think I'm going to beat off the worst of the cold but I'm coughing up icky colored stuff.
What workouts do you all do when your not up to a Cathe but you need to move to keep the body feeling good. I get achy if I don't exercise.
Looking forward to a Snazzy January when I stop coughing.
 
Hey Colleen.....that colored icky stuff is a good sign. :D Feel better! And yes, I love running in the winter....there's just something about running in the snowy paths/roads/trails and the CRISP (aka FRIGID) air that makes me smile. Usually, my nose runs endlessly in the cold, for the first 30 minutes till I blow it. Today I tucked 2 tissues in my waist band....but it was SOOOO cold out that nothing came OUT of my nose! :D At one point, during the first 2 miles, my sinuses and nose passages were KILLING me and I was actually afraid I'd have to stop.....eventually it went away but MAN did I realize just how cold it was...my snot froze! LOL My kids giggled when I said that to them! :)

I started a new thread for this week. I named it "Snazzy Ladies January Check In Week of 1/16" in honor of Gayle! ;):)
