January week of 1/9

G'morning, Wendy. I like the word "snazzy"...I suggest we use that word in our team/check in title? Just a thought....feel free to shoot it down as desired! :D

OK.....few things...I'm chatty today already and it's not even 9am yet.

Date last night went well. We ended up skipping the walk only because we got caught up in chatting the whole time. That's a good thing. He didn't try to kiss me when we parted ways at our cars....that's another good thing. ;) Very nice guy, FUNNY as I knew he was, paid for the meal although I offered to split it, and the 2 hours flew. His eyes were the first thing I wanted to 'test'. lol For me, it starts with the eyes.....they tell a LOT about a person....do they look me square in the eyes when talking? are they 'shifty' and avoid looking AT me? that kind of thing.....all good results. The basics were covered. All in all....2 thumbs up! :D

Workout today......up EARLY for 3 quick easy miles and Disc 3 Legs. I started STS today, moving Legs to Mondays and just pushing the 2 UB discs back a day or 2. AWESOME workout. I'm heading to the Y for some laps this afternoon.

What else?

Today is a rest day since I "cheated" and worked out y'day doing STS Week 2 Disc 1. I am happy to report that I have mild DOMS everywhere today! It's still hangin on a bit from Disc 3 on Fri! :)

Tmrw & Wed will likely be cardio...I'm thinkin' more Janice k/b (Kick It) and INTENSITY! :eek:

Bumpity bump BUMP! Almost on page 2. :D

Laps got done, but it wasn't pretty today. lol My breathing was off somehow and I took on water like The Titanic! :) But I managed my 1/4 mile and am working on 2 more times this week.

Tomorrow morning I've got Disc 1 and thinking about doing the Lo Hiit Intensity segment as a warmup.

Today's work out was HiiT: DWP followed by Tonique Premier Squat Segment and last but not least BBL Abs Rapido. :D

Gayle:: I am not a swimmer. I would SINK like the Titanic for sure! :p Good job!!!!
 
Hey Wendy. I'm hoping tomorrow's performance in the water is better than yesterday! :)

I did Disc 1 this AM.....love it, every second.

Glad you enjoyed STS Disc 1! Are you doing the 3.5 or 6.5 rotation?
 
I was afraid you were going to ask me that, Wendy! LOL 3.5 month was the plan because it would take me right up to my taper for the marathon. But this morning, while doing Disc 1, I was anxious to do it AGAIN next week so I could tweak just a few exercises/weights/poundage a bit more. LOL I have a hard time deciding sometimes....can ya tell?

You are preaching to the chior on this one, honey! LOL They don't call me the Exercise ADD Queen for nothin'! :p I am doing the 6.5 month. I was leery at first but I really think it's the way to go and realized it when I did Disc 1 for the 2nd time and was able to tweak my weights and make the work out even better! You are definitely on the right track I think! I may not do Meso 3 so if I opt out of it then the rotation will be about 5 months long but either way that's A LOT longer then I'm used to following a rotation for! :eek:
 
Agh! January has been busier than December!
I have to read posts tomorrow to catch up.
Yesterday did STS Total Body with 75% weights (good) today ran out of time for Intensity but did the Low Impact Hiit & Bootcamp from Intensity rather than cop out. Plan to do the whole thing tomorrow.

Hello Ladies, i like "Snazzy" maybe snazzy ladies? but I do like "snazzy" in there.

Today I did bodyMax 2 and forgot how tough that one is!!!! I think its tougher than Intensity. I really like the music on the dvd:D I couldn't finish the last combo blast I was worn out.

Saturday and Monday no workout.

Gayle glad your date went well. The eyes say a lot, if he can look @ you straight in the eyes hes got a great self image:).

Good Morning Ladies.

So we have probably about 6" of snow on the ground that fell over night. My DS' school called last night to say that they were going to be closed today. Now I'm just waiting on my job. It's a toss up. Not sure if they will close or not. Time will tell...Fingers crossed!;)

Today's work out is supposed to be week 2 disc 2 of sts or cardio (kickboxing?). I would normally be half way through my work out by now but I let myself sleep in a bit b/c of the storm. I want to wait to see what's going on with my job before I exercise. If they are open I am not busting my butt to get in there. I get there when I get there so I can wait a bit to work out. If they don't call by 6:15 I will get started. If they are closed I might just do disc 2 AND some cardio! :D Already crossed fingers so now I'm crossing my legs! :p

Colleen:: I love STS TB. Good job making cardio happen even though you couldn't do what was originally intended. Enjoy INTENSITY in full today! :eek:

Terina:: Yup, both BM's are toughies. They are very long and include a little bit of everything to help wear you out! I've done the original BM in full but I am ashamed to stay that I am not so sure I've ever done the 2nd one from start to finish. If I did, it was only one time! :eek: I've planned on it 50x over but somehow it never pans out...:rolleyes:

Gayle:: Any DOMS from disc 1? My legs are hurtin' from Tonique y'day. Wow. OUCH. Love it! :)

Teri, he definitely has an air of confidence about him, but not cocky. I like him. But.....time will tell (I stole that from Wendy, lol).

Wendy, I see (by FB) you chose to stay home. YAY! Wish choice. What week, exactly, are you on for the 6 month rotation??? If YOU'RE the Exercise ADD Queen, then that makes ME your Court Jester cuz I'm right there with you making a fool of myself the whole way!

For me..................School closed here too, because we got the same storm as you, Wendy (if I recall correctly, we're actually pretty close to each other, aren't we?). But the District didn't put out the official notification as early as they normally do....which meant I had older DS in the shower and younger DS and I were outside SHOVELING when we FINALLY got the update. lol Oh well, at least the driveway is done and I can get my car out.

Workout this morning was a tempo run. 5 miles total, 3 of those miles at 8:41 pace. Total time was 44:28 and it felt pretty comfy (I try not to use the word "easy" cuz I don't want to jinx myself. lol). My pace has increased these last 4-5 months so I'm feeling my way around my training program and tweaking as I go. Anyway.....I'm hitting the Y pool for laps this afternoon. Concentrating on my BREATHING today. lol And shooting for 12 total laps which is 1/3 mile.
 
Hello Ladies.

My work out for today was 15 mins of 2 different (new) kickbox work outs I have. Neither one was making me happy so I quit on them both. :rolleyes: I think I just wasn't in the mood to learn anything new this morning. A little while later I went back into my w/o room and did STS disc 2/week 2 and half of 6wk/6pck w/o #2. Ended up being a kick-azz and extra looong w/o for me. I took advantage as I decided to stay home today b/c of the snow even though my job didn't close.

Gayle:: As you've probably figured out by now from reading my w/o saga above (LOL), I am in week 2 of the STS 6.5 month rotation. Wow. Got a loooong way to go huh? :eek::p Too funny about the court jester in sneakers and goggles! LOL Enjoy your swim today. I'm sure you'll do better then y'day! Great run! Reading about your runs makes me want to run again but it's just not gonna happen anytime soon. Maybe some day though! *sigh* Glad school is closed for you and your boys. It's gotta be so nice to know that closed school for them means no work for you! :) I still have shoveling to do unlike you and your boys. I will, ofcourse, put it off until the last minute I am pretty sure. :rolleyes::eek:

So, Wendy....week 2 disc 2. That means THIS is your REPEAT week, right? You did week 1 of meso 1 last week and this week you're repeating it? Do I have that correct?

DOMS.....I still have DOMS in lower half from Disc 3 Legs on Monday! LOL Incredible. Chest and bis are also feeling it from yesterday. I LOVE IT ALL! ;)
 
OK....if.....IF I decide to do the longer rotation, I'll skip to week 2 next week and start doubling up. MAYBE! :p
 
such a bad influence. 2 things: 1)wonder if I can delete the current rotation (shorter one) and put in the longer one in the Workout Manager? 2) you mentioned Meso 3....I'm not a big fan either. I couldn't stand it the last time I did it. So.....I guess I've made up my mind? :)
