January non fitness goals update

Cathlete
Has anyone reached ( or is in the processing of reaching) any of their non fitness goals so far???

January was a NO SPEND month for me. I DID IT!!!!
January was time to go thru closests and give away coats and blankets for the poor - DONE!!!!
And it was my goal to get caught up on my pictures and scrapbooking. I got most of the pictures done, but no scrapbooking. This weekend I plan to at least get the stuff ready to start again on Monday.

Now it's time to review my Feb goals!!!

Anyone else make any headway!!!

I don't make monthly goals, though that sure is a good idea.

My main non-fitness goal this year is to see if I can introduce a part-time job to my current homeschooling schedule. Of course, this is hardly the best time to be applying anywhere, especially for someone who has been out of the workforce for 13 years.

If I'm lucky enough to get the job I want, it'll then be a test to see if full-time homeschooling and a part-time job can coexist peacefully. If they can't, I'll have to put my plans on hold for another few years, which will be kind of a bummer.

o my gosh, you do full time home schooling??? Wow, that's hard. I can't imagine doing that and getting a part time job!!!! Do you have any help???

Good Luck.

I found that monthly goals help keep me on track rather than a whole list of New years resolutions. They overwhelm me and tend to not get done!!!

I am trying to spend less and get my CC's paid off. I love to shop!!! I actually did good this month with buying things I don't need. And I got my dept store cards paid off. I think the economy has scared me a little. Sometimes a little scare is what we need to take action!!

Although I confess, today I just purchased 30 and 35 lb dumb bells and (2) 10 lbs weight plates. (But I really needed them-LOL ) I'm gearing up for STS.

Ellie, the job would have to be a couple of nights a week max plus weekends, nothing more. It just wouldn't work otherwise ~ I need time to prepare lessons.

If I'm working out of the house, DH would be available to watch the girls. Between you Catheites and me, I kinda like the idea of him shuttling the girls to whatever function or activity they need to attend. :D "Sorry Honey, I have to work. Looks like you have to drive the kids to art class in rush hour traffic." That would be so awesome. *daydreams* Thanks for the good wishes. :)

CB, exercise purchases are always a great investment!
