Janet Jackson and Super Bowl ...

Trevor, you think Natalie Maines (sp??) is "portly"??? Sh*t. Did you see the tastefully done nude spread of the three of them on a magazine (can't remember which one!!) done shortly after her "comment" on stage? If those were their real bodies, those girls are gorgeous!!

Edited to say if those weren't their "real" bodies, ignore what I just wrote - LOL!!

Maybe she's cut some weight I don't know. I am not a fan....LOL! I never found any of the 3 to be all that attractive. Just my opinion.

Well God Bless America right back atcha', Natalie!! LOL!!

Thanks for this link, Wayne!! I guess we'd be opening up a REALLY BIG can of worms with this subject, eh?

And you certainly are entitled to it my dear! ;) If I get a chance later, I'll try and find which magazine cover they were on.

Anyone know which one I'm talking about????

Call me a prude but I think Ms. Jackson and Mr. Timberlake are nasty. Primetime televison on CBS in front of 140 million viewers tuning in to see the Super Bowl is no place for an exposed breast. I'd expect it on MTV but I don't let my young son watch MTV. I wouldn't think twice about letting him watch the Super Bowl. I am raising him to respect women just as I am raising my teen daughters to respect themselves as women. I would hope that, if anyone, including Justin Timberlake, were to sing suggestive lyrics and attempt to rip her bodice, my daughter would hand him his testicles. I read a story about how contrite Ms. Jackson was because he was supposed to rip her bodice and expose her red lacy bra. HUH? Was she going to pull down Justin's pants and expose his skivvies? Isn't she ususally just wearing a bra anyway? That's not appropriate Super Bowl Half Time entertainment. They added the "costume reveal" but neither MTV nor CBS was aware of it. She didn't expose herself to people who paid for a ticket to one of her concerts. She exposed herself to children and adults who were watching a football game. As if it wasn't horrible enough that the viewers had to be subjected to POP MUSICx(, they had to be subjected to the objectification of women, psuedo sexual violence (that's what bodice ripping is. Never seen that in a cartoon) and Ms. Jackson's fake boob.

P.S. I don't allow my children to partake of the porn industry. I censor their music, movies, video games and TV, especially the news. And my older kids know better than to expose the younger child to anything I deem inappropriate. It's a tough job maintiaining a child's innocence in the world today but I'm a mom and it's my job!

Holy guacamole! My soapbox just collapsed and I'm sitting on the floor amidst it's splintered ruins! :)

I know she had a baby and is expecting (or maybe had already?) a second one, so maybe some of those pics were her pregnant?

Found it!! They were on the cover of an Entertainment Weekly in October of 2003. I couldn't search the EW site though because you have to either be an AOL member or subscribe, but here's a link from the Dixie Chicks website.

If it doesn't work, just do a search from your favorite engine and type in Dixie Chicks. They have a fan website that you can search without joining or subscribing to anything.
