I had seen a post a while back about some of the July Road Trippers going to Jai's resturant for dinner Thursday night. We are trying to coordinate our flights to hopefully make the dinner.

How many of you are going to try to go and at what time?

If you're taking a headcount, here's 2. My roomie & I are planning on going. As far as a time I can't say for sure but I would prefer to aim around 5 - 5:30. I tend to not eat dinner late.

Something to keep in mind about dinner at the restaurant. I e-mailed them w/a few ?'s, one of which was whetehr they required reservations. Jai said although not required she does recommend them.
If there will be alot of us this would be a great idea. She also recommended which menu item is for the more figure friendly eater.

We were talking about going there somewhat early (last year's T-12ers, 7 of us altogether) so we could be back at the hotel lobby as fellow Catheites start arriving. I know it probably sounds cheesey, but it is soooo much fun to hang out in the lobby for a bit and watch as folks stroll in. The poor kid at the Fairfield last year was snapping new pics with about 10 new cameras every 20 minutes or so. Actually pretty funny.

So if we think there will be a fair number of us, do we want to call ahead and see if they can reserve a large area for all of us? We are talking about the one that's a few minutes from Cathe's gym right/ And not the Philly location?

I'll start a poll so we can get an idea of how many and what time - does that work?

5:00??? If I get there on Thursday, I'd like to go, but that's a bit early for me.

Anyone want to go later, say around 7 or 7:30???

We could also go for lunch Friday instead. I agree with you about not wanting to miss the excitement and fun of seeing new Road Trippers arrive at the hotel. Some of the forum members who are planning to attend Cathe’s Friday morning class with us are not planning to arrive early enough Thursday night for this.

We could call the restaurant and ask if Thursday night or Friday during the lunch hour is a better time for a group.

For those with food allergies, I called and learned that they are very accommodating. They have veggie options and non-seafood options.

Heather - I tried to edit my poll ques to show a Friday lunch, but couldn't edit. I think those who may prefer a Friday lunch would work great with the restaurant. My plans are for Thursday evening, as was the OP's question, so that's what I geared my poll to. Certainly don't want to overwhelm Jai's staff!

I could do Friday as well. I wouldn't be able to make a Thursday night dinner, as I won't be arriving until Friday morning due to work Thursday night.
 
My roommate and I will be arriving EARLY on Thursday so Dinner works well for the both of us! Obviously we will also need to eat lunch on Friday so whatever the group decides (although I would love to do dinner there myself).

I'd love to eat there with the group on Friday at lunch or later on Thursday. My flight doesn't get there early enough for me to go at 5:00 or 5:30. I won't have a car, so I'd love to carpool or cab-pool.

I didn't post on the poll, as I'm up for either too. I will be getting in on Thursday afternoon as well. Count me in for whenever you decide. :D
 
I'm coming in Thursday morning, but I'm coming in with my husband, my cousin and my husband's best friend and wife! They have some other activities planned (seeing Philadelphia, etc. since we live in Houston and we've never been there -- except for me because I saw it last year at Cathe's road trip!). Please let me know the details because if there is a possibility I can make the Thursday night dinner or Friday lunch, that would be great! The rest of my group are going gambling in Atlantic City while I'm sweating my you-know-what off all weekend! We aren't leaving to go home until Monday after the road trip, so I might be able to gambling after the roadtrip -- who knows!

Again - I would love to know the details -- I might just be there!!
 
I can't make it Thursday night, my flight is too late but I would live to go for lunch on Friday! Great idea! Tracy
