<---tells Steph to do as Em said and with the cursor over my OAL smiley do "Ctrl" click. This should bring down a drop down list with "Properties" being one of the items. Click on that and you should get a Properties box that gives the address of the OAL smiley. Then just go back to your user preferences and add that address to your signature line. Also, when adding smileys etc..., make sure to remove the <img> and the </img> tags that surround address of the picture. Those tags are what is causing that little blank box before your smilies. I already removed them from the other smiley in your sig line.
