I just got the call from my Dr office, the Xrays came back, and there is no stress fracture in my foot. I have moderate arthritis in my big toe joint, which explains the owies. And apparently there is a bone spur in my heel. My heel doesn't hurt, so that is a good thing, and they just said that will eventually clear on its own. As for my toe joint, which is where all the pain is coming from, there isn't much that can be done for it. Rest it while it's flaring up, Aleve for pain, and ice after workouts if needed. He also said it wouldn't hurt to cut down on the heels (I wear them almost daily) but I'm not sure I can give them up!!! My sneaks and flat shoes hurt my foot more than my heels, because they allow more flex in my toes when I walk. Once my feet are in my heels, they kinda stay in that position and it is more comfortable. But, he said that is what causes it to stiffen up, then the pain when it tries to relax. So, I guess I need to go shopping for some cute, comfy flat shoes. Shoe shopping - tragedy!!!!!

So the good news is there is nothing major/seriously wrong and I can rest my brain at night now. The bad news is I just have to deal with it, but I can handle that!!!!
