Leanne, do you have any kind of "ground rules" set for your BIL's stay? And don't be afraid to make him a little "uncomfortable" about his stay. Like maybe you and your DH can have noisy sex on the kitchen table....
{{{Shelley}}}Once again, I have to remind you how lucky you were to have a mother you were close to and to try to cherish the good memories. I'm not sure how I'll feel when my mom is gone, other than guilty that we aren't closer.
Kara, I'd be more excited about the new fridge if we didn't have to drill holes in it to mount a lock right away. **Sigh** Sorry about you having to put up with your DH's not-getting-it family. My DH's family doesn't really get it either, but they didn't make me feel uncomfortable. I have a cheap step at my SIL's and when we go there every summer, I have no qualms about moving their furniture around so I can visit with Cathe for an hour each day.
Allie, I think Tneah gave you excellent advice. I agree that you will have your degree before you know it. I almost dropped out of college my senior year. I was sick of school, missing my then SO/now DH and couldn't see the point of my degree. DH talked me out of it and I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't stuck with it. {{{Extra hugs}}} over your parent's situation.
