It's a girl!

Our "big" ultrasound wasn't scheduled till Wednesday but hubby and I got in at a non-diagnostic ultrasound clinic for a "gender check" only because we just couldn't wait any longer!

It's a GIRL! I am very excited. I know hubby kinda wanted a boy although he said as long as baby was healthy he'd be happy...but it was hard to read his reaction. I think once it really sinks in he'll get excited. It is funny how at first men are just not as comfortable with the knowledge they are going to have a baby girl. I don't feel any less competent no matter what sex! Anyhow....we are now picking out GIRL nursery colors!:7

Even though we saw two legs, two arms, etc...we are still nervous about next week and the anatomy scan. That is of course where they check and make sure everything is healthy. I'll check back next Wednesday and update!

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! It will go by so fast.
 
Super-Congratulations!!!! :7 Your husband will get used to the idea then he'll look forward to threatening her future dates with bodily harm if they make one wrong move! :)

Good luck with the anatomy u/s. That's so nerve-wracking but in the end I'm sure everything will be fine.

Congrats! I'm sure your hubby will be excited about his baby girl..sometimes it just takes men awhile. ;) We still have a few months before we can find out the sex of our baby. My hubby actually really wants a girl first, but I know we'll be happy either way.

As long as she is healthy it wont matter. You will not want to change a thing once you see her. I am soo happy for you and your hubby. I am sure everything will be fine at your next weeks appt. Goodluck

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so happy for you! It is just fantastic that everything is going so well with this pregnancy.

Yeah, I don't know what it is with most men. They seem to think having a boy shows their manhood. Well, he will absolutely fall in love and adore her when she is born. He will be her protector.

My first was a girl - of course, I went on to have two boys, then two more girls, then five boys. Girls are wonderful. Have fun with the nursery.

CONGRATS, JANICE!! Woohoo!!

We'll find out on March 4th. It's funny you mention that, because DH is really rooting for a girl.:D He's Nick's stepdad and this is his first biological baby and he still wants a girl. Too funny! But, he'd be happy either way. I cannot wait to find out!

YAAAAY JANICE!!!! Huge Congrats!!! As the Mom of 3 fabulous teen daughters I am thrilled to bits for you. Countless people have told me how blessed I am to have girls, seems the old saying is all too often true (but of course not always;)) 'A son's a son 'til he takes a wife but a daughter's a daughter all of her life.' Years ago my boss, who also had 3 Girls, told my husband that he was very lucky because 'Girls will let you love them more':) I'm so happy for you!

Congratulations! I know you went through a really tough miscarriage and I'm so happy for you that things are going well!

I'm having a boy and I wanted a girl so bad. My husband swore that he didn't care if it was a boy or a girl, but I was so disappointed when I found out he was a boy to the point that I was crying about it (I know that sounds terrible), but you know that lasted about 1 day and then I was fine with it, now I wouldn't have it any other wa. In fact not long after we found out we were having a boy, a coworker of mine found out that the boy they thought they were having was a girl and I thought, Oh no what if that happens to us. I couldn't believe I had changed my mind so completely!

Amy...I am not dissapointed at all. I guess I just wanted to give hubby what he wanted but it was all him, you know? LOL. All I can say is if she ends up being a he well he will have lady bug bedding..ha ha..}(
 
Congratulations. Enjoy being pregnant with your little girl. Be sure to talk to her all the time and thank her for coming and tell her how happy you and your husband are that she is coming! I'm so happy for you.
