Is there a right way too sleep....

Reason for asking is this, every morning I wake up with this line under my right eye, which seems to be getting deeper and deeper EEK!

I sleep on my right side. Is there a right way a women should sleep to minimize lines and a puffy face/eyes.

Hi Teddygirl,

I know I have heard beauty experts say that sleeping on your face can promote wrinkles. I don't know if this is true but to hear them tell it a couple of nights sleeping on your stomach or side and your whole face will collapse like a souffle.

I just read something about this but I can't remember where. the article recommended sleeping on your back to prevent pillow face. It did say that as you age, sleeping with the side of your face into the pillow will cause permanent lines. :-( ;( x(

LOL! A souffle!

I've heard the same thing about sleeping on your back. Something about how gravity will keep the skin pulled back & tight at night to prevent lines. I can't do it--I'm much more comfortable on my side or stomach.

Thanks guys, I was afraid you’d say this. But, wasn’t sure. Some time ago, someone posted about night pads you can put on your face to help in this situations, does anyone remember?

Oh well, just like I had too trained myself to get up in the “EARLY” mornings to do my workout, guess what? Now I have too train myself to sleep on me back. This line underneath my eye is driving me NUTS, ARGH……}( }(

This morning I just realize it must be the way that I am sleeping. Thanks so much. Aw….. the things we women go through, huh!

LOL! A souffle! That's funny.

Yes sleeping on your side does scrunch you face and it can lead to those *expression* lines we all love so much. I'm living proof because I always sleep on my left side and the left side of my face has vertical lines that my right side does not. They make a pillow for this scrunch effect:

I have this pillow and use it but I probably only sleep on it a few minutes before I wiggle off it.

I don't remember the post, but there are tapes called "Frownies" that do that (supposedly used by Renée ??--whoever was in some movies with Mel Gibson)

Using a satin pillowcase is supposed to reduce risk of wrinkling.
