Is Insanity right for me? Feeling Bulkier these days...

I had a baby 15 months ago. Lost the baby weight plus more very easily b/c I was breastfeeding. Felt thin, but not in great shape. I stopped breastfeeding a month ago and have gained weight with no other change in my eating. I also just completed my first rotation since I had the baby. 2 months of the Weight Loss Hardcore Series Rotation. I was so excited. I see muscle improvements, but I actually am bulkier and my clothes are tighter (I haven't weighed myself b/c I dont' even want to go there) but my lower body especially is bulkier. I know I need to do something different, not necessarily more. I have been thinking about trying something completely different, like the Insanity Rotation, which is shorter workouts and muscle confusion to see what happens, but when I look at athe workouts I wonder what the outcome would be. Can anyone share their experiences with me?? Thank you!! Or any other suggestions? I would really appreciate it! So frustrating to work so hard and not get the results you hope for.

My DH & I just finished the rotation yesterday. We stuck to it as written except for 3 things:

1. Where the rotation suggests substitution of the DVDs from the Deluxe set, we did that.
2. In the Recovery week, we substituted the Bonus Upper Body workout from the Deluxe set on two days.
3. We took a break from the rotation for a week 3 weeks ago to focus on running b/c we were both running 10K legs on a marathon relay team, but we still did Max Recovery and Core Cardio & Balance during that week.

Anyway, we had great results. I lost about 8 pounds and about 6 1/2 inches all over. I really wanted to lean out my hips and thighs, and I did. I lost 1 1/2 inches in my hips! We were careful about our eating, but we didn't reduce our overall calories. We were very happy with the results.

HTH!

I have 4 days left and have stuck to the rotation perfectly (don't have the deluxe set) and my eating has been about 80% I would say. Both my husband and I have had great results. I was tight in a size 6 and now my 4s are loose. I have only lost about 2-3 lbs (but I am 5'4 and 123 so I don't have much weight to lose). But my husband (relatively thin to start at 6'5 and 200 lbs) lost 12 pounds! I haven't seen him this thin since college.

In general, the workouts are REALLY tough and there are still quite a few moves (specifically push up type things) that I physically cannot do but I LOVE the challenge.

We're going to take a month off and then do another 4 weeks right before a vacation we have over New Year's. I've been really happy with the program and if I could really tighten up my eating, I know I'd be even happier.

I think if you're willing to push yourself, you'll get good results! It's almost impossible not to.

Good luck!

How many Plyo type moves are in these workouts. I'd love the challenge, but am heisitant to spend the money. For reference, alot of jumping jacks will make my knees ache but doing something like Burpees wont.

I was also curious to know how long is the rotation and are there any weights involved?
If there is no weights involved would you lose any strength?
