Is Insanity overkill ??

I have owned Isanity for quite sometime and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!! Having said that, I never had the intention of following the rotation. I do it 1-2 times per week in addition to my Cathe workouts. I'm 44 and have moderate arthritis in my hip and knee. I have to be in the right mindset and have ample energy to do the workouts. It's such a different level of challenge I find it to be a totaly blast!! If I'm not hitting my stride by the end of the "warm-up", I usually move to something different.

Just my 2 pennies!

My husband is previewing Insanity right now! He's been doing a bunch on my Cathe videos and really enjoying them. I just got my Insanity back so now he wants to try that. Not to do the full rotation, just mix them in with his regular work-outs.

I would like to do the full rotation just so I can get a t-shirt. BUT I don't think I can go 2 months with no Cathe!

P90X v. STS

In my mind, I compare STS and P90X and I love, love, love STS and found P90X boring. However, I like them both as individual workouts. So, this precludes me to think that Cathe's Intensity workout (even though it's only one DVD) will be better than Insanity. But, I see there's just as many people who love Insanity and P90X as those who don't like them.

I did the full rotation of Insanity last year. I did not feel that is was overkill. I was very fit before Insanity but my cardio endurance increased and my resting heart rate dramatically decreased. I also noticed increased shoulder definition. That being said, I too will probably never do the full rotation again. I now incorporate Insanity workouts into my workout schedule.

If you feel, as you have said, that you are" stressing yourself out" then I too would recommend that you tailor the workouts to your individual taste and fitness goals.
