Interval max

Hi Patty, You are not the only one!!! IM is one of the toughest workouts I have ever done. I do not go to a gym, I like you, am a busymom! I consider myself in excellent shape and workout out on a regular basis. The first time I did IM I thought I was going to die!!!! I made it through the entire tape but WOW, it was tough!!!. I have had IM about 6 months now. I rotate it in with PSLegs, MIS, MIC, BMax. It is one of my favorite tapes and I actually enjoy doing it. I don't think it ever becomes "easier" you just get stronger and that sense of exhaustion afterwards does go away and you have this great feeling of accomplishment instead!!!!

it's awful..AND GREAT

Interval Max..do you love it or do you hate it? Mostly I love it because it has boosted my fitness level by leaps and bounds (no pun intended)...but I hate it too because I can make it through about 1/2 the tape before I have to sit out some intervals. I can usually do 4 and then sit one out and then 4 more...
It IS tough, but I actually look forward to the day that it comes up in my rotation because I feel awesome after I finish.

Tough!

Yep, IntervalMax is a tough one. I bought it recently, but haven't tried it since I borrowed a copy from a friend this past spring. This is one video I'll definitely need to "work up to."

I don't remember which thread, but not too long ago I read a post from Cathe where she suggested easing into IntervalMax by doing only the first 5 intervals at moderate intensity, then working up to full intensity with the first 5. Once you've mastered the first 5, I think she suggested adding the remaining intervals in gradually, one at a time, then upping the intensity until you can do all 10 at full intensity with modifications as needed. (Cathe, please correct me if I misinterpreted any of this!)

Have fun with the video!

Lynne
