Interval Max DVD...

Well guys, I figured out my DVD problem. As many of you know, I was having problems with the sound coming out of my DVD not being the same as the sound out of my VHS tapes (on the same TV). Well, get this....the only one I had tried was the IMAX DVD, which also has MIC and RS on it. Well, for some reason, IMAX plays at a much lower volume than RS or MIC. Even on a different TV. Is this because IMAX is older or something?? It must have something to do with the quality of the original VHS because RS plays pretty loud. Anyone else notice this??? As it is though, I still think my VHS's play louder than my DVD's. Anyone else agree with this????

I believe that there is a difference in the volume between the three workouts on that DVD. Interval Max is quieter, or at least it seems that way to me.

I haven't really notice a big difference between VHS and DVD volume-wise. Perhaps the volumes on the VHS versions of these various workouts are inconsistent as well?

I have noticed that Imax on my VHS as well as DVD generally has a lower volume. I agree that it's more noticeable on the DVD.

Now, Naughtoj, you KNEW I had to chime in on anything I-Max!

I'm on my second I-Max videocassette (wore the first one out), and when I played the second one for the first time I noticed that the volume was much lower than on the first videocassette. So it's not just with the DVD vs. the video. Don't quite know what that's about, but thankfully changing the volume is one of the few technical things I know how to do!

Yes, IMax on DVD is much lower. It drives me nuts cause I usually workout at night and keep the volume low and it's so hard to keep in step when you can't hear the beat!!! So, I'll probably use it very rarely after I get IMax2.

Sadly, all this means is that I will have to keep my VHS's instead of selling them as originally planned. Can't hurt to have backup. I use this really noisy fan during IMAX and without the volume high enough it really sucks. So I will definitly keep that VHS!! But I agree it is weird though about the difference in sound quality with the different workouts....even if they are on the same DVD!!
