I want to buy floor mats to put on hardwood floors for my stepping. What height is recommended is 5/8 enough ?

Thanks for any input,
Karen

There are shelving liners called easy liner select grip. They are absolutely great for under the rug when you don't want it to slip. Why don't you try to put it under the step only and see if that would work. Might save you a lot of money.

Or if you want a little give while you are stepping use a mat that Cathe sells or one of your thick yoga mats. Again will save you money.

Take care,

Janie

Karen, I'm assuming you want the mats for cushioning for high impact. That's what I have mine for. I use the puzzle mats that are about 1/2 inch thick. I have them double layered to make an inch of thickness. I don't think 5/8 inch is thick enough to give you enough cushioning. I would either find thicker mats, or double layer them like I have.
