Intense ab work

What do you consider intense ab work? I generally do six days a week following one of Cathe routines. Like When I do Imax2 I will throw in abs from Max Intensity Strength. When doing Muscle Endurance, will do those abs. Now by following a routine of ab work such as this am I overtraining my abs or is this not intense enough so that I am able to do this type of ab work six day a week. I would like more definition in my abs but having three babies I not sure even a one pack is possible. I know my abs are strong but I really can only see definition at the upper ab portion. Help. Karen
 
I do abs twice a week, 2 different exercises, 4 sets of 15 each. Both are done w/very heavy weight & I've had great results.

I think you could be overtraining--you have to build your muscles in order to see them. "Shrinking" the abs is really not the way to go if you want a washboard IMO. They should be trained like any other muscle.
 
Never really thought of it that way. I always have the mentally of shrinking the abs but building biceps. When you put it into prespective of building the abs to see them makes sense. Thanks!! Karen
