Cardio Coach is JUST what you need! ;)

ETA that if I can be of any help in choosing a workout just let me know!

Michelle - it was your many glowing recommendations and love for Cardio Coach that got me interested. With your explanations and urging, I (as you know from my other post) purchased all but Vol 1. Yesterday, I did 4, thinking you said it was one of your faves. Boy, did I love it. I did half on the stepmill and ran over to the treadmill to finish up. Not once was I bored or wondering how much long (except for my legs screaming - HOW MUCH LONGER!!) :) To be honest, I was skeptical of the "high" you and others mentioned, but holy cow, it was there and amazing! It didn't go away either. I can't wait to try more. I did start Vol 6 on the arc trainer just to get an idea of it. Thank you a million times for introducing me to this wonderful person and wonderful workouts.

>Oh Vrinda, trust me -- you're one of the most remarkable and
>extraordinary women I've come to know on the forums. ;)

Yea, I'm in agreement on that one.

Shana, I've worried that maybe I'm pouring it on a bit heavy, and I'll confess to a certain emotional feeling about it. But my praises are genuine and from the heart. These workouts are the only ones I've been able to do consistently without getting bored.

Michelle - I think not a bit too heavy at all! You found something that you believe in, and for good reason. Thanks mostly to you, now I am hooked and feel amazing just after one workout. What on earth are consistent Cardio Coach workouts going to do?? I'll be flying high 100% of the time :) It is b/c your praises are so genuine that I couldn't help but investigate Cardio Coach, and for that, again, I thank you. I don't hate cardio, but it is not my favorite thing to do. TV helps, or music, but I don't push myself like I did listening to Coach Sean - and I found that "I am woman, hear me ROAR!" ;)

>>"Michele, I totally agree about your comments on Sean and
>>Cardio Coach. And I love hearing how you love cardio now."
>>
>>Shannon, I didn't actually see the word "love" in there
>>anywhere. ;) :7 But obviously when it comes to Michele

Michele, all I'm saying is, no matter what, I don't think we'll be hearing you say the word "love" in the same sentence with the word "cardio" in this lifetime. ;)

Michelle -

You have given a great testimony here and it isn't too pushy.

The way you have explained your lack of interest in cardio and how you got motivated is exactly why we read the forums. For opinions on what worked for others who have similar issues, etc. as we do, for motivation from others and to see what motivates them, yadda yadda yadda.

I have increased my health quite a bit since I began coming to the boards more frequently, posting on the checkins and "hearing" what others have done. When I see what others have done, I like to try the same things. Started some HIIT on the TM and have been "turned on" to running programs. Get motivated to push myself and honestly, I am on my way out to look at iPods this afternoon 'cuz y'all got me wanting CC's and itrains !

And as I said, this 50 year old who has been athletic all her life is doing much better this year even though I used to work out consistently before. But my motivation is higher and my gains are greater thanks to Catheites like you who post your opinions and successes.

A great big thanks for posting.:7

Jacque, thank you for your kind words. I'm not used to getting all worked up over cardio :p , and maybe that's why I felt like I was getting a little too gushy. I'm a true believer in these workouts and it's kind of hard to suppress my excitement. ;)

Let us know which ones you get and what you think of them!

Thanks for posting this, Michele!

I've heard so many wonderful things about CC that I'd love to try it, but I don't have any cardio machines at home, I don't jog/run (unless someone is chasing me, which, fortunately doesn't happen that often;-) ), and don't want to join a gym again. Are there any other good ways to use it?:)

Leanne, do you have a bicycle? A bike would be GREAT! If I'm not mistaken, I believe Coach Sean tests the workouts on his spin class. I've only ever used an elliptical but I'm planning to convert my bicycle into a stationary bike and give it a whirl.

Some people use it for outdoor walking. I don't think you have to run or jog -- just walk. For the challenges you can either do lunges, walk faster, or break into a light jog.

Hopefully Vrinda will see your post. She's pretty creative with workouts. ;)

Oh, thanks, Michele! Those are great ideas! :) I haven't used my bike in ages b/c we now live on a HUUUGE hill that honestly scares me to ride on, but converting it into a stationary bike is a great idea! Walking sounds like a fun idea, too!

Michelle,

I can't thank you enough! I was on the fence about purchasing CC until I read your post. I'm so glad I took the plunge!

I finished vol 2 last night. I was in shear heaven! I felt like I was flying through the air! It was challenging during challenge 3. I pulled it out, and felt like a million bucks!

I can't believe how fast the time went.
I'm doing vol 8 this morning after my coffee kicks in :) :)

Thank you so much!!!

Thank YOU!! It tickles me to no end to hear how much you loved V2!! I feel exactly the same way when I do that workout, and it keeps me on a high for the rest of the day!

It's a good thing you're waiting until after coffee to do Vol.8. I'd suggest a 2 cup minimum! ;) :7

Oh my! You're not kidding!
I finished about a half hour ago. I think I need to hose off my elliptical! I dripped buckets of sweat.
The last challenge was tough. I'm still trying to find my 3. I think I went straight into a 4 because I felt like I was going to vomit.

It's all good. I had to take it down a little fast.:)

The same thing happened to me, but in the middle of the 2nd part of challenge 2. My HR skyrocketed into the red zone and I had to tap back my resistance quite a bit. It's a really hard workout, IMHO, but my 2nd go round went much better. And now that I've done it a few times I just love it!
