Good Morning Y'all!!

I know I’m done with the official Insanity rotation, but I’m missing Shaun and had to tack on CA to my Lauren Brooks kettlebell workout this morning. Yes, Insanity has now made my kb workouts a breeze. I may have to rethink my strict P90X rotation to include some Insanity :D

Dawn ~ Great FT improvements!! :D

Colleen ~ In my last FT most #s stayed the same while only a couple increased #s. :)

Becky ~ I crown you with the official Insane tiara since your Mud Run and ankle. You are a tough gal. Now relax and read some of those books ;)

Brenda ~ Your “all limbs splaying all over” fall made me LOL. I’ve had quite a few of those especially when I used to rollerblade :p

Sandra ~ Way to rock MIC!! I started added a small bowl of Grape Nuts before bed to help my energy for my morning workout :)

Have a super day everyone :eek:

Good Morning Everyone!

Today was MIP and a 15 minute run. I did well through the workouts but now I am tired. I don't drink coffee so I may have to drink some tea to wake me up.

Jennifer, glad to hear Shaun T. has made kb easier.
Becky, sorry about your sprain. Rest up and give it time to heal.
Brenda, I have had a few of those limbs spraying all over the place incidents too. Luckily I don't end up with sprains just a sore ankle.
Sandra, wtg on MIC. I may add a bowl of cereal before bed since I workout first thing.

Good Morning,

And I mean it this time. ;) Today was MIP. I was back IN IT. I even did an extra round of the last circuit to make up for missing the final round of the last circuit yesterday. :D Yeah, I know I called y'all crazy for doing that last week, but this is this week. :p

Sandra, I also ate a bit more yesterday after my "energy boink". I guess I can't trust my own hunger. :( I'll try the bowl of cereal trick tonight.

Jennifer, If you have any of the IMAX workouts you should try one of those again and see how they compare. I saw great improvement and that was just during RW. After 2 months you should be able to sail through.

Brenda, What have you been doing now that you're done with Insanity?

Colleen, Is the running going well for you? Do you still need follow ups with your PT?

Have a spectacular Day!!!!

Jennifer- I am doing P90x along with Insanity. It is funny that you should mention missing Shaun T. I started my last week of the two months today and I have been wondering how I will incorporate Insanity into my next cardio phase. I think that I will have Shaun T withdrawal. Glad to hear that your kick boing is now easier. After P90X I plan to do a kettlebell rotation. I usually use the Art of Strength. Have you tried any of those workouts?

Dawn- Yesterday I did MCC in the am and MIP in the PM. I thought that I would not have time for it today and wanted to make sure that I got it in. I also have a bowl of cereal at night since I usually do Insanity the first thing in the morning- usually around 5:30am Do you drink the recovery formula?

Collen - glad to hear that you are doing well with the workouts.

Happy Exercising,

Regina

Hi ladies! Thanks so much! :D

Jennifer, how are you enjoying the Brotherhood?

Sandra, you are correct....silver lining.... I am trying to get very focused on my nutrition!

I did have a good outcome at the Y. I was able to cycle for about 35 minutes before I started feeling my pulse in my ankle. Of course, it was very little resistance and I didn't do any standing drills.
This morning I tried yoga...think it would've been ok if the instructor wouldn't have chosen today for balancing poses! :p I'm very balanced on one side! managed about 30 minutes on the elliptical as well before I felt any twinges then got some abs done.

I decided to head over to a sports medicine doctor tomorrow. I love my family practice doctor but I would like someone who specializes with athletics to give me a more concrete action or non-action plan. I'm also hoping there might be another option for a splint for running. my son has a nifty Don Joy which is much less bulky than what I'm wearing. Not sure I could run in this.

Watched my running buddies leave without me this morning...sniff, sniff :(
reading your workouts with envy as well! ;)
I'm having a really hard time feeling like I am doing anything with non-impact and not breaking a huge sweat. Maybe instead of a sports medicine doctor I need a shrink!

I wish you all safety and wellness today (and tomorrow!)

Becky

Hi ladies.

I am wanting to do a round of insanity as is, now that I have finished STS. I seem to have a hard time recovering from it...any advice.

I am doing it to lose that last 10 from baby, did you all lose any fat?

Did you have to change your diet or calories. I am a long time low carber, but am will to change if I have to for this rotation as it seems to hand my butt to me every time I do it.

What type of recovery drinks do you all use?

Thanks for your experitise

Hello ladies-
Dawn- whatever you had must be catchy. I had a hard time with MIC today and I started thinking about you! I made it through but the 3rd set of the 3rd rotation will not make any highlight reels! Unless it is in the "agony of defeat" category. I also like your suggestion about going back and trying an IMAX.That will be interesting.

That's so funny that yall are talking about Shaun T withdrawal. I was having the same thought. It took a little while to get used to him but now I am going to miss him. ALthough I still have about 18 days to go. I was thinking I might throw him in my rotations occasionally. Maybe he will do us a favor and come out with Insanity 2! Good heavens what am I saying???

Becky- you are funny girl! Doctor shopping!!! I think you are just wanting someone to tell you "yep get back in there and do another mud run and then do some insanity"

Pinkquinn- welcome! I have been very happy with my results on insanity. I dont use recovery drinks. I try to follow the 90/10 rule. I eat right 90 percent of the time and eat whatever I want 10 percent of the time. Also 90% clean 10% what i want. I lean toward the low carb but have had to increase my carbs to get through Insanity. I can't do the fullblown clean diet and continue the will to live. gotta have my ice cream!

Hi Y'all,
Well, I lasted 2 days without Shaun T.... I scheduled "The Viper" workout for Monday before my Pilates class but didn't have enough time, so I popped CPR in the DVD and was I surprised at how much easier the workout is since completing the rotation. I believe I have gotten accustomed to longer harder workouts. This has me thinking I will definitely incorporate Insanity workouts a couple of times a week. This week I am alternating the Terminator workouts with Power Yoga, next week I will do 3 Insanity workouts along with kickbox and step workouts and 4 days of heavy lifting. On October 4th I will start STS again and will be doing Insanity and kickboxing 3 days a week. We will see how it goes... Meso 2 may require a little adjustment in Insanity, as I recall those TriSet leg workouts are killer!!

Ladies: Thank you so much for your encouragement and inspiration. It is wonderful to be able to share this experience with you. When I explain these workouts to my friends and family, they look at me like I am nuts and aren't interested in trying it. To be able to commiserate with others helped me immensely. YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!!!

thanks marianimal

I have been reading around about how much insanity takes it out of you. I hope i can keep up...and see some results. I get wiped but I like the endorphin rush I get. I also am super hot for about 2 hours after a workout...burn calories buuuurrrnnn:p
