Good Morning,
Today was CC&B. I made it all the way through the hip burners on both legs this time. I feel both sad and happy it took me till my final time in the series to do that.
Marrianne, Hopefully we'll have some alumni stop in today, but if it's just the two of us that's fine too. I'm glad I'm not alone on the burn-out. I know others started to feel that way towards the end also. When I first started doing just Cardio Abs, I also felt it more in my legs and hips so I'm not surprised to hear you say that about Insane Abs. Hip Helpers (and maybe just doing cardio abs a few times) has really helped with that.
I'm thinking maybe we can start doing a weekly check-in? How do others (if they're still with us) feel?
I'm heading out of town early tomorrow morning so I won't be checking in again till Monday.
I finished my nine weeks of Insanity this afternoon!!!!!!!!!! I am going to wait a few days to take the final fit test. The last week of Insanity on the calendar looks pretty tough and I was dreading it but it was not as bad as I expected. I think that you are so conditioned by the ninth week that your body is use to the ultra hard work.
I must say that Insanity definitely does live up to all that the infomercial claims. I am going to write to Shaun T and Beachbody and tell them how pleased I am with Insanity. Two of my friends saw first hand my results and have resolved to give it a try. I tried to somewhat discourage one of them because she is not in the best of shape. Anyone who attempts Insanity has to be in fairly decent shape to begin with. When I first started the program by the end of the warm up I was sweating. Now it takes me much longer to break a sweat. Here are some of my final results. Shaun T is a great instructor
1 .my shoulders are ripped
2. I definitely have a six-pack that can be seen
3. My resting heart rate is 34.
4. My cardio endurance is through the roof
5. My thighs slimmed down
It is amazing what can be done with absolutely no equipment other than your good old body!!!
I plan to do a 4-6 week rotation of Insanity workouts from just before Thanksgiving until the end of the winter holidays. During this time period so many people bring in food and there is so much eating going on that I want to cut of any possible weight gain. If STS cardio is available then I will probably use those workouts instead of Insanity.
I am on only my 4th day of Insanity and I must say I am loving it. I can see why your diet has to be full of the nutrition they give you in the book. Today was cardio recovery so tomorrow I think is pure cardio and abs. Looking forward to see my results.
Regina,
Yeah, another graduate. Wow a resting heart rate of 34??? Just Wow!!
You really have seen some impressive results. What do you plan to do until you start your next round of Insanity or Shock Cardio?
I would be finishing this week too, if I wasn't going away for the weekend. I thought about starting the week over on Monday, but then thought again
I agree with you on how tough the final week looked. I didn't feel as whipped after day 3 like in previous weeks, however, as I mentioned before I'm not getting the endorphin rush or powerful feel I was in the past either. I am attributing that to my improved cardio capacity. I can do so much more, but I have lost my mental focus and I'm just not pushing like I did in first 7 weeks. I think my "burn-out" factor is as much mental as physical.
Roselyn, Glad to hear Insanity is agreeing with you. This is a really great series.
Roselyn- It is good that you are enjoying Insanity. I think that you will see good results.
Dawn- Congrats on being almost done with Insanity. I agree that the final week is the hardest. I had to push myself to stay mentally focused to complete it. The body definitely takes a beating in a good way) with Insanity. I can remember that after doing MIP and MCC my legs were fried. I plan to continue P90x. I am in my first rest week of P90x. I was doing the P90x weight workouts and Insanity at the same time. I may do a few extra days of the P90x rest week (I am dead tired) and then proceed into the second month of P90X. Let us know what your final results are with Insanity!
I will still check in to give others encouragement and to help with my Insanity withdrawal.
Today was Max Recovery and I am so glad because I needed the break from cardio. I have loved doing insanity and still have about a week to go but I am having to fight the mental burnout.
Dawn- weekly checkout sounds good to me. Hope you have a fantastic weekend! That's funny what you were saying about the last week. I kept looking at the insanity calendar and thinking where is the recovery day????
Regina--congratulations! Your results are amazing! You are truly a success story.
I don't think my abs will ever be ripped and I will probably never look like the women in the Insanity videos but that's ok. We are each trying to be the best we can. I am so excited for you Regina (and proud of you too!). Celebrate your success with a reward for yourself.
Roselyn- glad your getting into Insanity. I should warn you it is addictive and pretty soon you will be needing your daily Shaun T fix.
