Good Morning!:)

I was the last one to post last night so there isn't much to say:) Imagine that...ME? Short winded!

I went to bed around 10:30 last night but was reading a article in my running magazine about a runner who had been hit by a car. It was sad article and LONG. By the time I finished it was 11:40 or something. I slept like a log though.

I am running outside today as soon as the sun comes up. Im hoping to be outta here by 7:15-7:30 but its still pretty dark:confused:

I will check in later! Have a good day everyone!

Lori:)

Good Morning Lori and all who follow. :)

Okay so here's the scoop on the job before I forget, LOL!
Back when I first started looking for a job, my BF told me she would keep an ear out for any of their clients or business contacts who might be looking for help.

Well that was months ago! I looked in the want ads, put in applications and even went on that one interview and got NOTHING! For the most part I never even got a "sorry we've filled the position" back from people. I just got SILENCE!

I had given up for the time being and then one day last week I got a text from my BF asking if I was still looking for a job and do I want p/t or f/t. I answered that and then some time later got another random question thrown at me. No explanations, just questions. I totally assumed she heard someone was hiring so was asking to see if I might be a good match. Well finally after a couple of days of this she texts me and asks if I am home or not cause she needs to talk to me asap. I called her when I got home that day and she told me....the job is at the office she works in. Their receptionist is leaving. The job literally FELL IN MY LAP! No application to fill out, no interview to go on. Just when can you start and what hours can you work? LOL

She works for a lawyer back in our home town and has been with him for years. It's a small, casual office. They work hard and play hard. Perfect situation for me. The hours are starting off p/t (by my choice) from 12:00 to 5:00 w/the option of leaving earlier if I need to pick up my son from aftercare (DH will be able to do it most of the time). If I like it and want to stay and they are happy with my work then I will go f/t eventually. Beyond that there is also a chance to move up and get out of reception and into some litigation work so we'll see.

So I will go from working 12-15 hours (in the morning) per week to 25 hours per week (in the afternoons) and I will be making 1.5x what I make now! :D

Hard opportunity to turn down huh? I have to commute north every day to where my mom lives for it. It takes about 30 mins w/o traffic so going in I'll be fine but coming home in the evenings could be a challenge. It should be worth it though. Just gonna take some getting acclamated. It may not sound like a lot but it's gonna be a huge change for me in so many ways. This is why I am opting to start off part time. Baby steps. I don't do well when I feel over whelmed and jumping into full time could easily do that to me after over 4 years at home basically!

Okay, I'm done with that story. BBIAB for personals, etc!

Good morning girls!!

Wendy: Congratulations! That's awesome news! And it's great that you can start part-time with the option to take on more if you wish. I really sounds ideal. The beauty of the noon to five schedule is, let's face it, you'll still have time to get your workouts in :) Good luck with your new job!

Lori: Hope you enjoy your run :)

Yesterday was a complete rest day for me. It was so beautiful out, we decided to go to Salem for the day and take in the Halloween Spirit. It was a lot of fun.

Today is Day One of Month 2! Just sucking down the coffee now getting ready to face it in a few. Will bbl when I'm done.

Good Monday morning (I'm trying to be positive here, can ya see that?) ;)

Ended up working on chores (seems that takes precedence too many times on the weekends for me) but the rain is coming and there were things to get accomplished. No starting M2 yesterday for me.

Lori - hope the early AM run is a good one for you since you didn't sleep much. I woke at 2:30 and never really went back to sleep. It is almost 5 here . . . I'll be tired later.

Wendy - congrats on the job. P/T is a great idea = yes it will be a huge change for you. The work sounds like it will be fun though. I was a legal secretary while going to college - interesting and these days never ending.

Jen - putting it off a bit, huh? Guess I'll have to read your review late tonight or tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed it !

Hey Laura and Diana !

Off for my looooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg day. Will be hard controlling the damage with breakfast, lunch and sundaes at meeting today !:rolleyes:

Morning girls....Ugh-I just lost my post. It happens occasionally on this laptop.

My legs are so sore this morning I ended up taking some ibuprofen. I remember my calves being really sore when I first started insanity. Those scissor jumps have my legs feeling like jello today. Hopefully they won't give out on me during the plyo w/o today!

Lori-enjoy your run...may the wind be at your back!

Wendy-Congrats again on your new job. I definitely think easing back into the workforce with part time is the way to go. Actually, I would love to work parttime, sometimes life just gets so busy that I feel like work gets in the way. I hope this job works out great for you.

Jen-Sounds like you had a great day yesterday! If you read my review yesterday, you saw that I found myself staring at the tv going this is insane....the more I do these w/o's I totally agree that they are appropriately named. Can't wait to hear your review.

Jacque-no worries, just jump right in when you can. I'm guessing it may end up being on Wednesday with today being such a long day for you...and the workouts are longer in month 2 also.

Laura-so how did you spend your weekend? I'm sure Shaun was a big part of your weekend:D which w/o's did you do?

bb after my plyo w/o...wish me luck.

Hi Ladies:)

Well, I was all dressed for my run this a.m and then it started to rain. It wasn't raining to much so I said "ah, Ill still go" Then I forgot something, went back to get it and then it started raining even harder. I was NOT impressed at all! I didn't want to get on the TM again and there was no way, I wasn't working out after getting up so early. So I did CC#6, haven't done that one in a while...it was good. Then I did PH abs.

Wendy** I think you will adjust just fine once you get into the swing of things. I can't even tell you how many times I have had to change my day around when DS was small...from 2 naps, to 1 nap, back to work, no naps, shift work. But you will get it all figured out.

Jen** Have fun with your workout!

Jacque** I had alot more sleep then you:eek: I don't even think I would have been able to get out of bed!

Well, BIL was fine yesterday. The only thing that happened, which didn't relate to my child, it related to theirs. DS was o.k during the meal but before the meal and after I was totally with him. We were in the rec room and his girls decided to start jumping down the stairs:confused: So (picture this) all of the adults are sitting around the table while I get to hang out with kids ( I think thats where I would rather be anyway:D) in the basement. BIL tells one of the girls to becareful and she said "Aunt Lori Ann is watching us" and he said something along the lines of "well, then she will be watching you all the way to the hospital later" As if I was telling them to jump down the steps! Thats enough for me. I went upstairs and said " Listen, I am not condoning anything. Its o.k for you guys up here having your adult conversations while I am on child duty. So I will just sit here and if they hurt themselves, I had nothing to do with it" I don't think he liked it very well b/c there was another couple invited for dinner and BIL is this guys boss. So I guess I wasn't talking appropriately to A boss...he ain't my boss...he is my PIA BIL! Anyway, Im more comfortable in my own home. He just irritates me, sitting there drinking his wine, with his hand folded, and his Im to smart for you people attitude! Blah!

BBL!
Lori:)

Hi Ladies,

I'm spent...after max interval plyo. I had considered doing Shaun's upper body work but that will have to wait until I recover a bit. I thought my legs were fried before. I have high expectations for great legs after this rotation is over. I'm missing weights terribly but frankly don't think my legs could handle it after today.

I actually loved this workout because I had the ability to do each exercise (except 1, the very last 1) but I did my best. Obviously I took breaks when needed but all the exercises were totally doable.

To be honest I'm a little afraid of Max Cardio tomorrow. It sounds like PC on steroids to me.

Lori-sorry about the rain putting a damper on your outdoor run today. You made up for it though with CC. So you embarrassed your BIL, big deal...after all he was in your house and he maybe its about time he realized he's not your boss or your son's boss.

Back to say that the workout is done, but I'll reserve my opinions until Wendy finishes it, as promised ;)

I forgot to mention that I have today off from work for the holiday. Thank you very much federal government :D

Lori: You rock. That's all I've got to say about that.

Diana: I KNOW that stare ;) Please let us know what we're in for tomorrow!

Jacque: I was lucky enough to not have to work today and was able to do the workout when I was really away, not one eye open awake  Good luck with the damage control today! Just watch the portions and you'll be fine.

Back to Bejeweled :p

Jen

I'm done with my work out,Jen so you can spill the beans! ;)

Off to the showers with my tired and sweaty rear end! LOLOL

BBL girls! :)

Hey Hey.

Back to try and catch up with personals before I have to skeedaddle off to make dinner for the boys....

Diana:: Last time I measured I had lost some size in my legs from doing Insanity. This made me very happy. I am hoping to lose more with month 2. Way to power thru your Insanity work out with sore legs girl!!!!:D

Jen:: Hope you enjoyed your day off. The office I'll be working for has Columbus Day off as well but not everyone does. My DH had to work today and so did I. Salem sounds like it was lots of fun! Glad you had a good time.

Lori:: Good job on the work out despite the miserable weather messing up your outdoor run plans. Hate when that happens. It can hard to switch gears when you have your mind set on a particular work out and it doesn't pan out.

Jacque:: So when do you plan to start month 2?

Thanks re: the job everyone. Yeah, I am hopeful this is the start to something positive for me. When I left the bank I had been working at to have Joey it was a double edged sword. I knew I was leaving behind a good job and a good salary but there were just more reasons to go then to stay. As it turns out though, that bank got bought out and everyone got the axe anyway so I guess it's like they always say...EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!!!!

Okay, time to enter my food in spark people and then figure out what's for dinner. I'll be on FB tonight if anyone wants to come hang out with me!:p

Ok, I'll just say that Shaun held true to his promise and kicked my butt today. In fact, he kicked it from here to Timbuktu! Holy Insanity, Batman!

There are switchkicks in the warmup people, in the WARMUP!

Anyway, I held my own through all the circuits, but the last one was, by far, the craziest. Suicide side jumps, full body drills, moving pushups...insane, I tell you!! I don't even know if those are all in the same drill, but those are the ones I remember. In fact, that's all I can remember :p I seem to have blacked out everything else.

Diana: I'm looking forward to tomorrow now :)

Wendy: Well, how did you like it?

Jen:: I liked it. It had it's killer as well as not so killer moments. All in all it was mega tough but yes, doable! Some of those moves are just freakin' crazy but hey, that's why they call it INSANITY right? And I for one can NOT argue with the results! :D:D:D I am exhausted now though. It hit me like a ton of bricks about an hour after finishing. All I want to do is crawl into bed and pass out...*snore*!!!!
