Info needed on Board used in 4 Day Split DVD

I just purchased the 4 Day Split DVD series. In the Kickbox Plus heavy weights Legs and Core segment, Cathe uses a board during the heavy legs portion. The DVD doesn’t reference the board under equipment needed; I believe it’s a 2 by 4, can you please tell me the length?

Its any length you want. I went to Home Depot with my DH, and he cut me a 2X4 the length I wanted. (I think about 2 or 2 1/2 feet long)
Enjoy the 4DS- the kickbox/legs is a great workout!

I'm not Cathe (obviously, hehe) but she does say during the legs segment that it's a 2x4. I just grabbed a piece of leftover wood from when we built our house last year (it's 2 inches wide and probably like 4 feet long!). You just need something small to put your heels up on. It's not even required though. You can just keep doing regular squats while Cathe and crew do the front squats with the 2x4 under their heels. It just helps you target your quads a little more. Do you have a set of 3 lb weights? You could put your your heels on those. They should be the right height.

I like this lift variation but what I have trouble with is the arm positioning. I'm usually so sweaty but the time we get to this one it feels as if the bar will slide off my arms. I've tried holding the bar behind my head you know on the sholders, but I have to really concentrate on my form so I dont hurt my back.

I use one of my risers!! It is just the right height and it already has grips on the bottom, so it doesn't move around at all. I have been meaning to share this information with the forum, since most people already have the risers (for the step), it is an easy, safe replacement and not another piece of equipment to add to my space!!

Try it!!

If you have weight plates for your barbell, you can also use a weight plate for this. That's what I do.
As for the bar slipping, you can drape a towel over your arms/shoulders to help with this. Or, you can just use dumbbells, which I frequently do, as I don't find the front barbell position to be comfortable.
