In Praise of the Boxing Idea

Hi Cathe,

I saw you were online and just wanted to tell you I am incredibly excited about the boxing DVDs. Thank you for piquing my interest in something new!

You're the best!

Becky

I second that! It sounds like a great, fresh idea that will be tons of fun! I've tried to "box"(no pain involved!!) with my DH before but wasn't really into the "hitting other people" thing. Now an imaginary target, I can get into that!
Did Cathe say that she already does this in her gym?

I am really interested in the boxing series too.

I am really excited about these as well. I've wanted to incorporate boxing elements (at my hubby's encouragement) into my routine for some time, but just can't get into working out with the boxing bag in our icky garage....

Even if I have to buy some extra equipment, I am really looking forward to this series.

I'm so thrill that Cathe is making a boxing series. I hope she continues making more workouts using the heavy bag and perhaps the speed bag (there is your target vs. in the air for added resistance). The heavy bag can also be used for intense kicks as well. I am sure Cathe will come up with something intense to keep us fit and firm. Let us welcome the challenge!!!!:D

Cathe if you are reading this thread, I would like to see plyometric movements for boxing as well (to make it extra intense, you can do plometrics and quickly use the heavybag and quickly start your punches without any rest, do them couple of times to get the heart rate up, just a little suggestion).;)

I'm ready for this too. I used to be so rigid when it came to my workouts & then discovered Cathe. It's been fun trying out different methods of staying in shape without feeling guilty you didn't give it your all at each workout. Thanks for bringing it up Becky.

I'm looking forward to the boxing workouts as well! I actually have a few boxing workouts, but it's a category of workout that I really want more of. I love being able to do an upper-body/core focused day of cardio (boxing) after a day of heavy lower body weights.
