IMAX SHOULD BE CERTIFIED............................

Hi Ladies and Gents,

Oooo, did Imax for the first time last night ! Well, I tried to do Imax last night as best to my ability. I took it all the way with LOADS of modifications !!!!!!!!!! I sweated MUCH more than I did with Circuit Max, and I fell out with my step ! Yes, the last 3 step sections, I fell out with my step because I just couldn't 'get' the choreography (Vent here AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I ended up bellowing at it ? Poor thing, we have been such good friends for the past 11 years that I am now glad to say it will be binned at Christmas when I get my new THE STEP from DH ! Trouble is my step at the moment isn't as long as THE STEP, so I can't do alot of the cha-cha 's along the top as well, and that other move, mmm, I think it was jump up and stick your leg out to the side (just before interval 5 or 6 ?), well when you are 5 foot 8 inches, it is really hard to do that on a little step (Vent again: AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I loved the skating interval, which I managed without modification. Could not do those blasted quick change lunges (my God I am not that flexible !) so I just did pressing legs out behind me in a low impact way-thing. And how the heck do you do that ball change lunge thing with the step in between your legs :-hmmm ? Beats me ? I just did a knee up and a quick ball change whatever.

I LOVED it though, not as much as CIRCUIT MAX, and I am not aching as much this morning as I was after CIRCUIT MAX. But, I think once a week with IMAX will be grand, I think IMAX as hard as it is will only get more enjoyable the more you progress with it. But Cathe is right, those rest bits get shorter and shorter with each interval...............

BTW, I would have posted last night afterwards only my flaming internet connection has been playing up :-mad

Bye

Anna :)

Can I make a suggestion due Imax once a week for the next 4 weeks then give yourself 2 weeks of and repeat. The breaks will actually help you with the chroegraphy I know it sounds crazy but I have found it can work.

I did CM yesterday but couldn't get thorough the whole thing TOTM coming up I guess.

I am visiting CK Sales again I just want a look to see what Firm tapes they have.

Oh yes, Anna.....IMAX was my very first ever Cathe tape! :-wow WHAT was I thinking??? The hardest step tape I had done up to that point was Karen Voight's Energy Sprint! HAHA!!!

You'll love IMAX the more you do it. :)

RE: From a certified I-Max junkie

I-Max is the toughest workout you'll ever love. It was MY "Intro To Cathe" as well; I've done it at least once a week (twice a week when I first got it) since I bought it in fall of 2000. In fact, I wore my first copy out and had to buy a replacement I-max earlier this year.

Keep steady with doing it, and you will train up (both in terms of cardiovascular endurance AND leg/thigh power) like you would not believe!

Am truly drooling for Interval Max 2!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-28-02 AT 11:50AM (Est)[p]Hi Anna, :)

I've been waiting for you to post on Imax :) It's a doozy huh? :)

Annette is so right, it will be the toughest workout you'll ever love!

The choreo will become more familiar with each session, especially if you're doing it once/week, and your cardio capacity/endurance will go through the roof in the upcoming weeks. And little by little you'll be modifying less and less. Just take your time with it and enjoy :)

Donna

p.s. I, too am drooling for Imax-2! :) The nerve, when it took me 6 months to get mod-free with Imax! :)

Thankyou Everyone,

I will keep up with IMAX, it is a toughie though, still haven't made up with my step yet, it is CARDIO KICKS tonight for the first time. I am REALLY looking forward to all those Power Drills !!!!!! :-jumpy
