IMAX lovefest, anyone?

I did IMAX yesterday and realized one of the things I love about this workout is that the choreo is simple enough that I don't even have to look at the tv! Power lunges are a teeny bit easier when you can stare at the wall and count! Even the step choreo is simple enough with Cathe's cueing. But in IMAX, simple isn't easy :).

Since IMAX is a love/hate thing, what do you luuuuv about IMAX?

I love the fact that I am noticing that some of the power moves are getting easier and that I am finding that I am able to do the Plyo jumps with much better form for longer (before I had to modify).

I also love that I can do the lunges at the side all the way through :-jumpy.

Never pass up an opportunity to trumpet I-Max!

I credit I-Max, not to mention its producer :) , with pushing me to a whole new level of cardio and leg power fitness. It was kind of ironic that I-Max was the first Cathe video I'd ever bought - ah, innocence!

I do I-Max at least once a week, and after two years it still hasn't gotten old! (Well, the videocassette DID get old - had to buy a replacement cassette a few months ago!)

Now, am absolutely salivating for I-Max 2! Titles please?

I agree with you Aquajock just love that tape. How about:

'To the Pain'

'Bring it on'

IMAX 2 The Destructor :-wow

Hey I've been filing all morning that's enough to fry anyone's brain.

I've had IMAX sitting on my shelf for months, too scared to try it. But last week I did it for the first time (it was on a 4" step with a few modifications, but by golly I did it) and I have to say I'm beginning to see why everyone loves it so much. Something about those rests between the intervals makes it seem very manageable. Sure, I'm panting and sweating buckets, but at least I know that it will be over soon, if I can just get through those last eight plyos...

The only thing I don't like it is that it makes my knee hurt. Once a week is probably the best I can do.

I did it for the first time Monday and it was GREAT! I made it through, but the last interval was tough, to say the least! I'm going to do this one once a week to keep my stamina up!!

Just the feeling of finishing it...wow!! But I say that with a little sadness now - I haven't done it in about two weeks because of a nagging foot ache, and now it may be a bit longer because I was in a car accident on Monday (and my beloved van was totaled, and my face is an absolute mess, and it was my fault and I'm so mad at myself.....waaaah!) But anyway, I love this tape too and I highly recommend it. Very empowering!
