"Imax Friday" November

All done and thinking of you all the whole time. I tacked on the KB abs from Amy's ASC3.

Let me dig up that post and I'll send you the link. NOOOOOO! Don't do calf raises while it's healing. That's a big NO NO, I learned. You need to do calf drops, basically dropping your foot off the step like you're going to do a calf raise, but just hold it to feel the stretch, then use your good leg to push yourself back up. I'm feeling SO much better since I've been doing them!!

This is the first step workout Ive done in, oh, a year!?

I still suck at it -- ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!:p

But I never would've gotten through it without you guys -- I mean that. It helped knowing we were all in it together. And thanks again to those of you who dedicated your workout to my DFIL.
 
DONE with Imax2 and I'm doin' the HAPPY DANCE!!! Woohoo!! I haven't done a step workout since the RT. I can't believe I survived...:eek: My face is about as red as Cathe's top!

AND I wore pigtails for the occasion...got a rave review from 8 yr old DD!!!

What a great workout! I'm a sweaty mess but had a great time, especially when the Pina Colada song came on. That song totally gives me the energy boost I need to get through the workout.

Great idea getting all of us started Deb! We should do it again. An Imax per week does the body good!
 
WTG ladies! Especially Michele....YOU GO GIRL!!! I like the symmetry: you step with us step addicts once a month, and I do CC-PP with you CC addicts once a month! :D:D Works for me!

Super job everyone! Isn't it amazing what we can push ourselves to do when we know we have "company"? It was so fun to see so many join in on the challenge.

Mag, I was a sweaty mess too! With my pigtails HALF up and HALF down, I was quite a scene!

Melissa, I'd love to have seen your DD's face when you walked in with your pigtails! FUN! We have planned to do an Imax once a month, the first Friday or Saturday (or Sunday if you prefer) of the month. I tend to do newer Cathe workouts so it is fun to go back and pull out some oldies. I can't tell you the last time I did Imax (the Original) or 3 for that matter. Number 2 has always been a fav of mine.

Jess, that stretch you are doing worked for me when I had a case of PF that would not go away. I did it faithfully for 2-3 weeks (2-3X/day) and it cleared up my problem! Chris, I hope it helps with your problem.

JJ, that interval where you hop straddling the step and then do the plies & air jacks gets me every time! I am GASPING for air by the time Cathe decides to let us LIVE!

Mary, I am with you! The workout never gets easier. I just keep pushin' along!

Lori, great job! 6 intervals is awesome! There is nothing easy about doing ONLY 6! Keep at it...Welcome by the way! It's nice to have a newbie join us. How did you "find" Cathe? Look forward to getting to know you!

Ellie & Joanne-so glad you could join us! I miss you. Joanne, you forgot your PIGTAILS! Oh noooo! I've seen you with them before though at the RT! :) Ellie, I am so jealous of you getting to go to Cathe's classes occasionally. You lucky duck you!

Great job EVERYONE! (I sooo hope I didn't forget anyone.) This was fun and I'll see you next month on the weekend of the 5th-6th! Should we vote on which one to do? Number 1 or 3? Enjoy the rest of your weekend and BTW, GO DO YOUR WORKOUT NOW! That is where I am headed. I am meeting with 3 "old" friends for lunch that I haven't seen for a long time so I need to hustle...HUGS 2 ALL!!!!
 
IMAX2 Cardio Party Check-in

Good morning, IMAX2 party girls! I went to HEB last night and was surrounded with Christmas music and decorations. The holiday season is in full swing in Texas! It is time to put my game face on and start blasting off the sugar and fat. The men in white coats armed with platters of dark chocolate strawberries seduced me, and I needed an IMAX2 cardio party for damage control! I put my hair in baby piglet tails and laced up my Nike Shox Rhythmics at 11:00 p.m. and smiled the whole time thinking of y’all. My feet and knees have been crying lately, so I modified the impact and enjoyed this workout on the floor (with no step). It was still a blast and intense enough for me, and I felt great at midnight!

Michele, you are destined to be a Cathe cardio lover! I believe! I enjoyed my first Cardio Coach (Volume 3) workout last Saturday thanks to you and have another date with Coach Sean this afternoon. Fun, fun, fun in the pool! (None of those darn cardio machines for this girl!) Running sprints through 4 feet of water was more challenging than I anticipated. My butt was burning during the sprints and hills! I love Coach Sean! I would love to join y’all for the next Press Play Saturday if it is okay for me to enjoy Volume 3 in the pool.

Mama Deb, thanks for getting this party started! I vote for the original IMAX in December so we can save IMAX3 for the new year, but I am in either way!

Thanks for so much for this challenge...I did Imax2 on Saturday. I love it when I revisit a workout and I find I'm stronger and it's easier (still hard as heck). Way fun and really nice to be a part of this community...very cool.

Oh, you guys are too much!! You're all so wonderful and supportive. I couldn't get through a step workout without 'cha!

Heather -- I'm so glad you're enjoying CC in the pool. I hope you'll write to Coach Sean and let him know that. ;)

Are y'all sure I can't talk you into SS Sunday or MM Monday instead? :p :D

Good for you for modifying where needed. I bet your HR was still soaring! Since you are the only one who voted, we will go with Imax, the Original in December! That was always my fav Cathe til she came out with 2, then, it was my fav and then, she came out with 3 and IT was my fav. I am back to 2 being my fav but all 3 are works of art!

Wake Up Eager~cute screen name! So glad to have you join in. It's fun to have newbies join us and we are glad you're here. Keep watch for the first weekend in December for our next challenge. Do you have the Original Imax? It is Cathe's FIRST Interval Max out of the 3. If not, YOU NEED IT! Ha! Very unique workout where you do ENDLESS reps of one or 2 moves. Way back when, I truly thought Cathe was trying to do-away with me! Talk about topping off at your anaerobic thresholds! Whew! :eek: I hope I didn't scare you too bad!

Cyndi, now, if that isn't THE CUTEST pic! LOVE it! What cute piggy-tails! How fun that you have sumos in the background! And, I see a pic of you & Cathe back there in your right-hand corner! You look AMAZING! Your hard work truly shows. Keep it up GF!!! I am so glad you felt the energy. This was a fun challenge and I can't wait to do it all over again in December.

Sooo, whatch all think...do you think we've got a chance at Michele admitting she had a LOT of fun and will join us again in December? (For those of you that don't know, she has always been known as our Cardio-Hater gal!) We'll pull in her in w/o her even knowing, with all the fun!
