"Imax Friday" November

Cathlete
Hey all, let's report in & see how we all did. I'll be back later....see you at your steps! Pigtails or not!

"You guys...you did AWESOME!!!" Ending line from IMAX2 -- did YOU do awesome? My alarm went off at 4:00 and I rolled and groaned, and then thought -- uh-oh, my fellow Catheites are waiting for an IMAX. Soooo, IMAX2 - done - kicked it home HARD in dedication to all of my fellow glas who have some tests and struggles going on right now. Here's a little extra energy comin' atcha. Followed it up with B&G floor work and stab ball abs. Now -- off to have my PT work my back and biceps! Enjoy your IMAX today (or whenever). Hugs around.

Well, I hope I won't be the downer here, but I only kicked out 1-5. Still recovering from the crud I had this last week and breathing is not a strong point yet. I still wanted to participate in some manner, because just thinking about everyone else doing the same thing is so inspirational. I'm sure I'll get back to normal soon and be able to push through the whole thing, maybe even by next Friday.

I did it y'day, since I knew I'd be running this morning. I LOVED it!!! I haven't been doing any step for a while, first I had a broken toe in April, then an achilles injury. I was pleasantly surprised that IMAX 2 didn't feel too difficult?? Not as hard as I remembered it to be! I even tacked on C & W Compound weights premix (around 30 min). GREAT workout!!

Hope everyone else enjoyed it too!

Jess

Jean, don't sweat it (no pun intended!) It's pretty impressive to get through 5 intervals right after having the cruds!! WTG!

And you gals who actually tacked on more stuff afterwards: :eek::eek: WHOA!

I will be working out later this afternoon probably. I'll report back then. Looking forward to it...I love IMAX2!

It was gggggrrrrrreat! (as Tony would say.... Ok, that's Tony the Tiger for us older folks, not Tony Horton!!). I loved thinking about all of you out there doing it with me -- brought back fond memories of the road trip where there were quite a few IMAX 2 moves thrown in.

Just when you think you can't do anymore, the Pina Coloda song comes on and you get renewed energy!!!

... Great workout!! See over at Nov check in!!

Hey Jess!!

Guess we're "injury" twins, huh?

My calf still pulls every now and then. I'm a little cautious when i do step now..!!

Is your toe totally healed like you never broke it?
Mine, 2 months later, is still kind of swollen/odd looking!

DONE!

Whew, red-faced and all! THAT was FUN!

I miss my step workouts! I usually jog outside during the summer for my cardio on my days off classes since our winters seem to stick around forever.

And, I wore PIGTAILS! Oh my gosh, was I scary looking. I even prayed my DH wouldn't stop home. He'd think I'd lost my mind! Cyndi, I used my orange RT towel and I worked EXTRA hard for you doing the Sumo's!

Lorrie, not so sure I did awesome but I tried my best. It's funny how awkward you feel on the step when it hasn't been a habit lately. Wow, on your workout today! I guess i need to go back down and tack some muscle work on.
I did do the twirl with Cathe on Interval 9!

Anyone else join her on that?? Ha!

Jeanie, good for you for doing 1-5! That is hard to do when you are sick. You are not a downer. I think that is great! Hope you are 100% soon.

Jess, great job. Super comeback after your injuries. It IS a fun workout!

Jodi, have fun. We'll see you after awhile.

Beth! LOL! I also remember Tony!!

Chris, The Pina Colada songs is my fav! I am dying by that interval but it helps to make it bearable. Hope your toe heals soon.

GREAT job everyone! I'll see you next month!

It was sooo much fun - I haven't done that one in a while. I just started the warm up and then I thought - shoot I was going to put pig tails in :)

Deb - thanks for starting this - it helped me get going this morning!

Joanne

I'm done!!! Literally!!
That was so much fun. Just knowing everyone else was "with" me was a great motivation. But that still kicks my butt!!! Can I go to bed now??:D:D

You guys tacked on weights after that???:eek::eek:
Whew, good for you.

Can't wait to do something next week together!!!
elliemom :D:D

I'm done too! But unlike Jess, I always seem to think IMAX2 never gets easier :( Oh well! I added 4DS biceps at the end :)

Great job everyone - no matter how much you did, you did something and that is what matters! :D

Have a great day!

Yes, we are! Will you please stop copying me???? LOL Did you try the stretch that I posted about dropping your foot off the step? That has helped me SO much. I haven't had a twinge of pain in over a week and happily ran 5 miles this morning!!! Now I just hope it NEVER comes back! My toe is finally healed, but it took a good 4 months til it didn't have that funny *look* to it. I'm sure it didn't help that I started running after 4 weeks on it!

I was able to do 1 - 6. That was the first time I've been able to make it through 6! My out of shape arse is wiped out but I feel accomplished!
Thanks for the challlengee.

Lori

WOO HOO!! I'm glad I joined you IMAX-ers this morning. I did IMAX2 since it is my favorite of the three. I was dreading the ski hop/tuck interval but actually it went pretty well. Instead, the one with the plies & air jacks knocked me for a loop:eek: Funny how things change.

High fives to everyone else!!

No! I didn't see a posted stretch! How often were you/are you doing those?

Today was the first day in over a week I did Step. I know it pulled a little, I have to be careful. No exagerated moves. (Sometimes I really GET INTO moves!)

I tried to run at the park with my boys (or AFTER my boys) on Tuesday, and I felt my calf bigger time. I missed my Fall running time (toe), and now I'm missing LATE Fall running time. And since I'm not a big Winter runner (I like to run at the park, kind of cross country style), looks like it might be Spring before I get one in again! ARG!!!

Hey, do you think doing calf RAISES helps it get stronger too? I have done them a few times.

I've just finished Imax 3. Phew. Totally sweaty and red-faced. I just need to change, throw on MORE DEODORANT, and then go running with my pt client! :) Sooo much fun to do it "with" everyone!! LOL I was struggling to get my newly cut hair into pigtails when I realized... I'm doing Imax 3!!! So I just did a pony instead of a pig. ;)

GOOD JOB EVERYONE!!!

Let me dig up that post and I'll send you the link. NOOOOOO! Don't do calf raises while it's healing. That's a big NO NO, I learned. You need to do calf drops, basically dropping your foot off the step like you're going to do a calf raise, but just hold it to feel the stretch, then use your good leg to push yourself back up. I'm feeling SO much better since I've been doing them!!

Jess

OMG you guys are AWESOME!!

I've had an absolutely crazy day and I haven't had a chance to do my workout yet, but I promise to do it before the day is over.... I swear I will. ;) :D

Mission accomplished! Woo hoo!! I was thinking about everyone as I stepped. I love that workout anyway, but it was even more fun this way! I especially thought of Cyndi during the sumos!:D And I was thinking about the RT during the power boxes!

Great job everyone! We should definitely do this again!
