I just ordered the IMAX 3 dvd....WOW!!!! Somebody please tell me I'll get the hang of it. I do believe I'll love it once I catch on:7 I done, or tried to do the first three intervals - then decided to switch to KPC. The choreography is what I having trouble with - once Cathe starts turning on the step - I lose all concept of where I am. Need some incouragement here, anybody else have this same trouble (good trouble) in the beginning?}(

I think all Cathe's step workouts are tough to learn. It always takes me a few tries but eventually you'll get there:) And it's SO worth it:)

Do you have any other Cathe step? I think the more you do, the easier they get to learn, because you know what the moves are called, etc.

I agree with what Shelley said, but wanted to add that it might help to do the step only premix a few times before you try to do the whole imax 3 workout. When I started with it I did the step only premix after a 45 min cardio workout. That way if you are messing up you don't feel too cheated. You'll be an imax 3 expert in no time.

Hi! This one is tough to learn but once you do you will love it!! What helped me the most was to keep watching it and paying very close attention to her feet and where she was on the step, which direction she turns, etc. Keep going, you will have it in no time!! Good Luck!!
Sandy:)

THANKS!:) I've been doing Imax and Imax 2, Body Max. I workout with the Intensity series mostly, but I also do the Xpress series on occasion. The part that was getting me most was the mamba step-up turn go off backwards off the step. Thanks for mentioning the premix I honestly didn't think of that, all the other tapes I have are VHS. I'll check back and let ya' know how its going. x( Thanks again!

I did Imax3 for the first time this week. I'd done Low Max and Low Impact Step previously, and I used to teach at least 5 advanced step classes a week, so I know choreography. But I was still very challenged and lost several times. I had to play some sections over a couple times before I got them. I ended up doing Intervals 1-5 with the blasts, then 1-5 again with the step parts only to try to catch more of the choreography. I think next time I do it I'll do the step only premix, then add some blasts to the end. It's a toughie, but I love it!

Thanks. I kept on stepping and turning with no idea which direction I was headed in hope that I'd catch on a little quicker. I'll learn patience here also. I'll keep working on it!

Shelley, love your dog! I also have a German shepherd.

I appreciate all your posts! Hoping it wasn't just me having some trouble with it. I agree, it looks like an awesome workout - maybe just what it takes to lose these last few pounds:)
