Imax 3 question

Hi Shelley,

I've always done Imax 2 on 8 inches and am thinking I'm ready to move to 8 inches for Imax 3. Most of the intervals are done on the floor anyway. Intervals 6 & 7 may be tough but should be doable. I would not recommend this for those who have knee, hip, or any joint issues for that matter.

So when will we be doing Imax 3 on 8"??? Saturday sounds good to me. Are you up for the challenge???

Diana

I just moved to doing IMAX2 on 8". I started with 4" (platform only) with IMAX 3, and now I'm at 6".

Since I don't do the jumps from the step onto the floor (I walk down or modify in another way), I can see myself going to 8" at some point, but not for a while (I don't use IMAX3 as much as I use IMAX2).

Hi Diana! I'll check my rotation for when I have Imax 3 next and let you know:) Oh, I'm up for the challenge. As you said, most of the intervals are on the floor. Is 6 the one with the jumps on and off the step? That one should be intense:p

Shelly, I have been doing Imax 3 on the 8" step since the start. When I move it to 6", I trip more often because I am so used to doing it on the 8". I love this workout. Karen

On the two occasions when I did Imax 3, I used 8" as usual for most of the workout, but I felt that the stress on the joints was excessive at 8" during intervals 6 and 7, so I lowered for these two to 6".

IMAX 3 is my all time favorite cardio workout. I never get tired of it. Actually it is the only workout that I do on 8". All other workouts, including the other IMAXs I do now on 10". I especially love doing the blast only premix.

I bow to your greatness--all of you!!! He!!, I'm just longing for the day when I can do any step W/O. I've watched the clips form several of the cardio DVD's and they look like so much fun. As for now, I'm working out with Leslie until I'm ready for the big time. ;)

Yes, I have always done IMAX 3 on an 8 inch step. I tried doing IMAX3 on a 6 inch for about 5 minutes, but I kept falling down because the step was not where i expected it to be. So, i raised it to 8 inches where it is more comfortable.

Hi Shelley,

Interval 6 are the side to side lunges, interval 7 is the one with jumps on and off the step. I may need to modify for these two intervals as I did when doing HCE.

Sounds like others are using 8" so we know its possible.

Diana

Okay Diana, Imax 3 is on my rotation for Saturday, so an 8" step it is! I may need to modify for those two intervals as well, so that's fine with me!

I do so love a challenge:)

LIMEY...Please don't kill yourself! Pssst...tell me how you like it though ;)

So Shelley, are you doing this on an 8" step with a weight on your back?}( :p :)

Girl, don't look at me. Blame Marla!:p :+ Tell me how it goes. You just might inspire me to use my Imax 3 again even if I know I'll be searching for pieces of my kneecaps and gluing them afterwards.

Can't keep a straight face,
Pinky}(

I was planning to do it with a 50 lb barbell on my shoulders. Just for that extra challenge, you know?

Pinky, your enhanced Lowmax scares me, but I'm gonna do it!
