Hello. I was wondering, for those out of shape or much to lose, how did you go about starting the IMAX workouts? Would you suggest trying IMAX 1 or 2 to start with?

Thanks!!

Hi Kim,

I would say start with IMAX1 because the intervals are less choreographed than IMAX2. I would also have to say be ready to modify, modify and modify.

Have fun!:+

Thanks, Deedee. In a couple of weeks I'm planning to try this, so I will start with a few intervals in 1!!!

If you like a workout with more instruction on the step routines, you might want to start with IMAX 1. If you are an advanced stepper and can quickly catch on to more intricate stepping, you'd love IMAX 2. I have them both, but I always end up doing IMAX 2 more than IMAX 1. Prepare to modify when you're still learning them. Both are wonderful butt-kickers, even when you master them.

Hello I love IMAX 2 because of the music, it really gets you going. So my vote goes to IMAX 2. Do you own both of Imax?

Hello there. Yes, I have both Imax's, but have not done either of them!! lol. I'm wayyyy out of shape.

Hey don't be so hard on yourself. I remember when I first got this back in Feb because I was into stepping but when I put this on I was like OMG this is not for me so it sat and collect some dusts for a few monthes until I was ready to try it again. Well now I love it love it. It is one of my favorite, oh forgot to say it is IMAX 2. I do have to modify though. Just modify where you have to. Have fun:0

Hello Kim,

I too had a lot of weight to lose and used step to help get the weight off (among other methods) and found that I could do most workouts by the use of modification. I suggest planning a goal to achieve such as adding 1 interval to the end of your regular cardio routine. I have lost 85lbs through adding small, achievable exercise goals into my routine.
