I'm too tired

I feel like I am ALWAYS tired and I never am able to workout like I used to. I try to go to bed around 9 and sleep in as late as I can but I wake up and feel exhausted by lunch time. Even though I do go to bed at like 9 I can't fall asleep until like 11 and then I can sleep in until 8 but I keep getting woken up at like 7 except for Sundays. I am sooooooo tired I can't workout right and I feel really weak and am definitely not preforming to my standards. I have no idea what to do but I am sick of feeling like this.

I don't really drink caffeine too much I have been drinking more than normal and I don't know when the last time I had blood work was. Could it maybe have something to do with nutrition?

I agree with getting blood work done -- If you are not anemic, you could have hypothyroidism. Good luck to you. :)

nay nay,

I agree with the other posts and maybe talk to your md and get some lab work done. If that comes back normal, try taking an antioxidant. I know GNC sells them. I get mine though Life Plus online, but it is a pain in the you know what because you have to register and get a pin #, yada, yada. But I have found it works for me. I used to have trouble falling asleep, waking up in the middle of the night. Now I sleep like a rock and if I do wake up I can fall back asleep with no problem. Hope this helps!!!

Hi NayNay,
Hope you don't mind me chiming in here, but, like others have suggested, I recommend getting your blood work done, as well as getting your hormone levels tested. I have been battling with adrenal exhaustion for the past 2 years. The only thing that uncovered the problem was by taking a saliva-based hormone test in addition to the standard testing performed by my doctor. I was run down, not able to exercise, ALWAYS tired (chronic fatigue), emotionally drained, and gained 40 pounds before I even went to the doctor to get diagnosed.

Many doctors won't test your adrenals or reproductive hormones, and if they do, they usually do so by blood, which is NOT the most effective way to test your adrenal glands. You'll need to do a saliva-based test, which is collected 4x/day. I recommend ZRT labs for a hormone test; the complete female panel + vitamin D is a great one. It's expensive, but so worth it!

Be forewarned: it does take time to rebalance your system, but it can be done. I'm still going through my rebuilding process. I was in pretty bad shape, and I'm still working on getting back in balance after 1 year of treatment.

PM me if you'd like to discuss further.

Good luck,
Fitgirl-atx
