I received my marathon DVD in the mail and watched it just now. It's a DVD of the Chicago Marathon and they caught me on video at a bunch of different locations during the run, including the finish line.

I didn't really get to see the marathon from a spectator's perspective until I saw this DVD. I'm so choked up right now.

It even inspired my DH to want to run one.

I HIGHLY recommend ordering the DVD if you ever run a marathon. It is just awesome!

That is so cool. I didn't even know they made dvd's out of them. How long is the dvd? I think I can run down the street to check the mail and back, but that's about it.:) Congrats to you. You can even burn other copies of it just in case something happens to the original or you want to give them to family members.
 
That sounds really cool!

Lord knows I will not be running any marathons in my life time! LOL Running is something I don't think I could do well. Atleast I never have in the past...

Kudos to you, Dani for going for it and doing so well too!:)
 
That is really cool to have it documented like that and for you to be on there several times.

I just got a DVD for my son's football team that a parent put together. It included pre-season practices, all the games, and a blooper reel. He set it to music and had captions and graphics of all kinds. It was amazing that he put that together for all the parents and such a great keepsake.

Something fun to reflect on in years to come. Especially for your first big race too!

THAT SO GREAT!! I am amazed by the accomplishment. My hubby is doing Disney in January 06 and I promised to do the next one with him. I'll make sure to get the DVD when they send out the race pictures for sale.

That's really cool Dani. It's a great memory to keep, isn't it? I don't think I've run any where they offer DVDs, only pictures.

For my first marathon my husband was at the finish line with our video camera. When I FINALLY was just about there I picked up my pace and thought I was flying!! Later when I watched it on video I had to laugh because I was really barely jogging!! :) :)

What's really cool is the video cameras caught me running across the finish line at 3 different angles. They caught me on 3 cameras and they inlcuded all of that footage. It was awesome.

I'm going to have to watch it again tonight. :)
