LOL...OK....I don't usually start threads; just reply to some here and there. But I've just got to share my excitement with you guys. I've read about everybody else's pregnancies, weddings, engagements, Birthdays, etc....here's mine.

Tomorrow is my last day at work. I am returning to my original 'job' of Stay At Home Mom to my boys, ages 7 and 4!

YIPPPPEEEEE!

Thanks so much for letting me share. I feel like I am going to EXPLODE!

RE: I'm

That's great, Gayle! I bet your boys are very happy, especially with them being so young. I haven't missed any milestone with mine. It's VERY humbling to watch them bloom.:)

We'll keep the rat race going so it will still be here when you get back. ;-) (Can you tell how jealous I am??)

RE: I'm

Good for you Gayle!! Woo hoo!! I am a stay at home mom too. I love it!! There are some days the little devils drive me nuts but it is well worth it.;-) I wouldn't change it for the world.

ETA: I have three boys by the way, 3, 8, & 10.

RE: I'm

Hi Gayle,

Good for you! They really do grow up so fast. It's nice to be with them while they are young. When they are back in school you can volunteer for all the parties, reading mom, etc. I've had so much fun with that.

Too bad you live so far away, we could get the boys together and play! LOL!

RE: I'm

You guys are making me homesick for when my son was young and at home! I loved all the school activities and even though I work I still did as much as I could. He was first, job second! Just you all wait until empty nest syndrom hits! I cried for a month straight! He is my only child so maybe that is why I took it so hard. I am happy for all of you who want and can stay home with your kids. For those who choose to stay with their careers I respect that too.

RE: I'm

That's great!!! I have 4 kids ranging in age from 25 to 3 years old. I am able to stay home with my youngest but decided to go back to work part time at the beginning of this year. She's only in daycare two afternoons a week and it's just play time for her. She doesn't have to deal with full time daycare like my other kids did. There is a difference.

There's nothing like being there for all of the milestones and just the every day to day stuff.

RE: I'm

Congratulations Gayle, the boys must be really excited. With summer here you will have so much fun together.
I have been home on medical leave for a couple weeks and am really enjoying it. I have 3 boys ages 17, 15 and 9. However, I do have to go back to work next week. Fortunately my company is flexible and I can attend my kids' school activities etc.

Have a great summer.

RE: I'm

Congrats Gayle... you will not regret the decision. My son will be 25 this year and my daughter 23.... I stayed at home until my daughter was 5 and my son was 7. I went back to school at that time, then to work. I am so glad I had that time with them in their preschool and early years. I will always cherish those days at home with them.

RE: I'm

Congrats Gayle. I am so happy to hear of your decision. It sounds so right!

Nothing is as important as our kids and they grow so fast (mine kids are 19 and 16). Even though I had to work - single Mom - they were my # 1 priority and always will be, though my weekends focused on them. I cherish the time spent with them.

Everything else, work , $, is such a distant second.

Congrats on the decision:)

RE: I'm

Gayle, that's awesome news. Your Kids are very blessed to have their Mom available to them. I stayed at home with my Kids for 12 wonderful years, I made many financial sacrifices to do so but it was the best investment I ever made and have never regretted it. Congratulations on your 'retirement'.:)

Take Care
