Morning all~

I figured a quote from Wizard of Oz would be appropriate today because I feel like a witch. A fat jiggly witch, mind you.

As you can see, I'm not filled with the joys of life today. I'll try to get a handle on that and might bbl.

Oh, and I didn't get up and work out this morning.

Oops, I'm a dummy. I missed this and started a new thread--I edited it to tell people to ignore it, though.

Good morning, everyone. I'm having a terrible time getting going this morning. I keep getting up early on cardio days and then can't seem to get my energy up to do it. It's another one of those days when I'm flipping through my DVD binder completely uninspired. I think I'll just wait until I get my oldest off to school and then do it. For some reason I can get right out of bed and do weights, but not cardio. I used to be able to get up and jog, but I can't jog on my bad knees (plus DH is already gone off to work and I can't leave the kids alone). I guess that was easier because I didn't have to use my brain much. Seems like I've heard that it's better to do cardio in the morning and weights in the afternoon--but not for me, perhaps. Still need that dadgum stationary bike.

Shelley, glad I'm not the only one who is not working out early this morning...but I hope you have a more joyful day than you seem to expect. ***air kisses***

Leanne, I just got a body fat caliper thingey and I didn't like what it says, either. I wanted to record it at the beginning of BFL and check again at the end of 12 weeks--I hope it improves....

BBL to see what you chicas are up to. Gotta go feed the rugrats.

Good Morning!

Well I still have this horrible cough and no energy to work out. I am hoping that by Sunday, I will be able to start a new rotation. I think I have lost weight, probably muscle. All my clothes are getting bigger and bigger..I need to get back on track and start eating right etc. I haven' had a protein shake or vitamin for over 3 weeks.

Shelly:
I hope you feel better later.. this winter weather is a downer..no end in site eitherx(

Shannon:
I have never done the full upper body pre-mix from 4DS..I think it would kill me! I hear you on the eating part...if you heard what I ate yesterday you would laugh..how about, not one piece of coffee cake, but 2, about a cup of m&m's with almonds, and a meatloaf sandwich on white bread with gravy?

Tneah:
How was the show? You need to post your pics here that you send to Mr TRainer...we all want to see what we should be doing!

Leanne:
What type of hand held monitor did you get? I have never heard of this..I think if you want to take a needed day off...GO FOR it!

Lainie:
I am glad that BFL is working well for you..I had really good luck with it when I did it faithfully for 6 months.. I was in the best shape of my life..

Have a good day...

Deb

Morning, everyone....

I think I'll join the bad mood crew. Mother Nature is NOT being kind to us. Yesterday was gorgeous and near 60. Today is cloudy but not so bad. Tonight, however... rain first, switching to snow, and snow all day Friday with accumulations up to 8 inches where I live.

Look, we have trees blooming already, and nice green stuff poking up in my flower beds. I do NOT want snow. It's March, people, it's springtime! Is there some reason why this snow couldn't have come in, say, January????

On the up side, I have absolutely no intention of driving in to work tomorrow, because I'm NOT being trapped here in the snow.

So... rant over. I have to get busy and get as much work done as possible. I will try to be back later for personals. I'm so sorry for the self-involved post!!

Hey Lainie,

Didn't know you were on a daily checkin, I belong with the 12 weekers. Here is a little inspiration for you on your cardio, since doing your rotations I am seeing amazing results so I know what you are doing is working for you to, so good luck on your cardio workout today and like you tell me if you just don't feel like doing it then don't there is always tomarrow.

Good Morning All:)

I wanted to do that greeting in all caps but restrained myself.x( may I join the bad mood fun this morning?

OK, so we didn't stay overnight at the hotel yesterday...why? Because DH had an early morning conference call, so we couldn't really "whoop it up" after the Bette Midler show-which by the way was fabulous. I was hesitant at first, because I don't know anything about her besides her top 40 hits, but she has a wonderful, warm personality that you are very drawn to, and boy is she the tiniest little lady you ever saw!

So, we gave the room we booked to a friend, and came home. We have been married 4 years now and have never even had our honeymoon, nor have we ever "vacationed" anywhere. Guess when you own your own business its really hard to break away. We do have a wonderful life though and have been very lucky so I am not complaining. I just wanted one night with my sweetie without work getting in the way.

I got dressed up last night, something I love to do! So I "celebrated" with three small glasses of wine. Yep, even though the last time I cheated with wine it didn't set well with me. Well, it didn't set well with me this time either. Woke up with a pounding headache. Plus I didn't even feel buzzed or anything dang it. Will you all remind me of this the next time I mention I want to "cheat?" I would have rather had a huge meal with a gooey chocolate dessert! Boy, I used to drink and it felt all warm and fuzzy and I woke up just fine. Guess my body is telling me something isn't it? Plus, I got home and snacked on M&M's...
:(

Enough with my own self-absorbed post.

Shelley, you are most certainly not a fat jiggly witch you silly goose. Are you headed into PMSville? That could be the reason for sure, I haven't even gotten out of my pajama's yet, and am feeling the same way, plus I have a headache too.

Shannon, sorry bout your crazy weather, maybe there is something to that global warming thing after all. We have spring flowers poking up too.

Lainie, you are allowed to feel bad and tired, I know I do this morning. Here's to a much better day tomorrow. It is sweet another BBL gal came looking for you over here!:)

Deb, don't worry about losing muscle, once you have built it, it will come back as soon as you start working out again. Just take your time, get well and do what you need to do for yourself right now, you have been through alot.

Hi to Leanne (as you can see, "wig night" didn't happen;) ), Robin, Emily, Judy, TK...hey, where have you been?

I was supposed to take a rest day, but if I feel better this morning, I think I will do cardio, I think it might help burn off the extra crap I ingested last night. Or maybe not...sigh. BBL guys, sorry to be a downer, but we all have days like this don't we?:7

Hi Roxie! I did manage to get that cardio workout in--just later than planned. I did it after I got my oldest on the bus. It was tough with the 2-year old interrupting me, though. I'm still sleepy, but at least I got a good workout done. Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Tneah, what's a BBL gal? She's a friend from the open forum.

And chica, look out for that booze--it apparently isn't working for you. :p I couldn't believe how well I felt after my 2 margaritas on Saturday night, but of course Brian was sipping them a little, too. How come I felt fine on Sunday but today I'm exhausted for no good reason? At least you know what makes you feel crappy!

Deb, I feel for you with the cough. Been there done that, as you know. I have been feeling better lately, though sometimes I wake up with a bit of a cough again, but at least it's gone the rest of the day. Hey, maybe I'm allergic to winter and I feel better now that it's almost spring? I hope you feel better soon!

Shannon, sorry for the nasty weather. We are having sort of mild weather here (for NY), but we haven't had anything blooming yet. What general part of Arkansas are you in? I don't remember if you said before. I went to college at Southeast Missouri State--not far from the border with Arkansas. I drove through Arkansas a ton of times during college (to get home to Texas). I also had an uncle in Texas and a cousin there named Bill (who's now named Rhonda, but that's another story).

OOPS. Lainie, I meant "Body for Life" gal, which would be "BFL". Sorry.

Yeah, the booze ain't working for me anymore, that is actually a good thing. Its Vegas, and since we were out, I thought, hum, this might be fun getting a little "rummy", but apparently, my body isn't going for it anymore. Now if only I felt this bad after ingesting sugar, I would whoop that habit too.;) Congrats on the workout, I actually have my workout clothes on, just haven't made it into my workout room yet...

Hi grumpy gals. I love you all, in spite of the frowny faces.

tneah, funny, but wine can affect me differently on different days. Same wine too. Sometimes I get that nice warm fuzzy buzz and other times I just get tired. Sometimes I wake with a headache and other times not. If it's consistantly making you ill though, it would be a great excuse to stop. We all know it's nothing but empty calories and who needs that. I'm sorry you didn't get to spend the night. I'd love to see Bette. I think she's a hoot. You need to tell your DH it's time for a vacation! With your boat, you could go to some wonderful places. I always wanted to go to the Sea of Cortez and kayak. You could go down the coast of Mexico to the bay where the gray whales give birth, another high on my list of west coast desitinations.

Lainie, I wish I had the dedication to do BFL. I think after struggling with weight and body issues for close to 40 years, I'm just tired of the whole ordeal. I sure haven't been trying very hard to watch what I eat anymore. Thank goodness I love to workout!

Shannon, I'm suprised to hear you are to get snow. The forecast here is for all rain. I sure hope that's right. I'm right with you in being ready for spring. I'm assuming your calf is still behaving itself?

Deb, I think you are smart to hold off on your workouts. My DH had the nasty cough for 3 weeks. We test for the flu virus here in my department and it's amazing how many positives we've had in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

Shelley, the wicked witch of the west is one of my favorite movie characters. You are one of my favorite people. Cheer up sugar. Spring HAS to be around the corner.

I'm planning on doing 4DS Kickbox and legs when I get home this afternoon. I'll try to check back then.

Hi y'all.

I'm feeling a tad less grumpy. One hangup about the snow has been resolved. It's still coming. But at least now a major work project has been put on hold until Monday due to some pesky amendments, so I won't have to worry about slogging in here to work. I can stay safely home, so I don't have to drive in the snow. Whew.

AND I went to a really cool art store at lunch. After a year downtown, I just discovered it yesterday. Can you believe that?

My eating has been pretty good, after that really bad day earlier this week. Tomorrow is going to be the perfect day to pull out the crockpot and cook something warm and stewy. Mmmmmm.

Shelley - I know for a fact that you're not fat and jiggly, so you just stop that. :p

Lanie - I'm with you - cardio early in the morning is just an impossibility. I hope you can find another good time for it! I'm in central Arkansas, by the way.

Tneah - yes, you and DH really just need to put the business on hold for a few days and take a break! And you just remember, the next time you pick up a glass of alcohol, how scrumptuous a nice piece of cake or pie would taste.

Deb - the good thing about losing muscle is that it's really easy to put back on! You'll be back to lifting and looking buff in no time.

Robin - I hope your 4DS work goes okay, and that all that leg work doesn't bug your knee. My calf is doing pretty well. I'm still stretching like crazy, which helps, and sticking with low impact for a few more weeks.

I am much more cheery thanks to Robin and her "sunshine on my shoulders" thread.:p

I did my 50 minutes of cardio this morning, thank goodness. It was tough, but I did it.:D

We are going back to San Diego for a few days this weekend, the boys will be coming down to work, its all good though. Thinking about setting up a face to face meeting with Mr. Trainer man since he is only about 45 minutes away from where our boat is. Would be nice to meet him in person .
Hope everyone is having a better afternoon/evening. I am planning on doing my last cardio session, taking a hot bath, and watching Project Runway--I missed the finale last night, and am dying to know who won!:)

I got a ton of stuff done today, Georgie to the vet, all the grocery shopping done, other errand stuff, etc..one of our video guys is here from Salt Lake City, he just got here. So will feed the boys pizza I think, while I enjoy a large spinach salad with some orange roughy I just got at the store...have a great evening everyone...
