I am so excited about all the possibilities with this set! So many premixes to try out; it will never get old!
So far I tried Low Impact 1, Upper Body Circuit without blasts, Lift it HiiT it Legs, and today I had a little extra time to make myself an Upper Body Combo using Ch,Sh, Tris & Back, Sh, Bis!
I had surgery & radiation last summer/winter for breast cancer, so I am working my way back into upper body strength work. Mostly I have been doing total body weights with kettlebells, so I was excited to get back to Cathe strength training.
I stuck mostly with dumbells except for biceps, used my stability ball as a weight bench, and did mostly 10 reps of each exercise, used a lower weight than Cathe on Chest, Triceps, and pullovers. I did all the triceps & shoulder sets, but chose 2 exercises with finishers for Chest, Back, & Biceps, like I skipped the incline bench press sets & for chest finishers I did pushups with my shins on the stability ball.
I loved all the shoulder & back work with the bands! My triceps were dying, and I was nowhere near Cathe's weight! I also had to really drop my weight on pullovers & skipped the second type of one arm rows. The prone exercise for rear delts, I had to go down to 5#, I only have enough risers for 3 per side; I tried the last set on the stability ball with my legs anchored wide, and it felt better.
I have been a longtime lurker to this forum, working out with Cathe since the days of MIS, and truly believe that my strength & endurance from all those workouts has really helped my body to recover from my cancer treatment. Now with Ripped with Hiit, I will be stronger than ever!
