Robin-
I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand what a jolting and jarring feeling losing someone can be. About 4 years ago I lost a friend and I still think about her now and then. Her life was very sad and while I knew her, she had gotten into stripping and drugs. It was so sad and strange because she was such a beautiful and bright girl. I guess she couldn't see what she was worth. She tried to pull me into her world but I resisted and thus emotionally pulled away. I didn't want to hurt her but I knew that I couldn't make decisions for her either. So, I moved away and got a phone call a few years later that she had overdosed on her depression meds. I don't want to detract from your shock though, I just want to let you know that I understand how you feel. You and your friend are in my thoughts.
