I'm HOOKED!

Cathe,
I did Step Heat for the first time this morning, and WOW! What a fun, high energy workout. Your cueing is right on, and I thought I'd have a tough time catching the moves... but it really flowed and I was able to get a great workout the first time thru. It was so much fun! Which video should I order next? I want something similar to Step Heat, about 60 mins, with step and abs, and w/o complicated choreography. Thanks for your help! I already have cardio kicks and LOVE that too!

Healthy Regards!
Sara

I think StepHeat is the only one that has abs on it, unless you count BodyMax, but that has step, intervals, and a complete workout at the end and is an hour and a half long. Just for step, maybe a good one that is similar in intensity and choreography is StepFit. You'd have to add your own abs workout.

Well, I was thinking of getting either mega step blast or step max... which would you suggest? I want a 45-60 minute higher intensity workout without complex moves... I can always add my own abs afterwards... thanks for your help!

Healthy regards!:0)

Then I think IntervalMax is what you want. The choreography is not hard at all, but the workout is much more intense than StepHeat so if StepHeat was tough for you, you might need to modify, or do it on 6".

I agree, Intense Moves' choreography isnt tough but the intensity is on a whole different level than Step Heat. For a more similar intensity step tape, I'd recommended Step Max...it has a cool lunge section at the end. Cathe doesnt have any other step and ab tapes, but like was mentioned before Body Max has abs, but it's a whole body workout with strength training too. The cardio portion I think is a little trickier b/c the tempo is a bit faster.

RE: Step Max v. Mega Step Blast

I would opt for Step Max. It is a bit newer than Mega Step Blast and a lot more fun in my opinion. If you can do Step Heat, you may find Mega Step Blast a bit too easy.

Just my .02.

RE: Step Max v. Mega Step Blast

Hey! Thanks for your help. I'm going to get Step Max next, since I already have Interval max... which tape should I get after that? I just really don't want to buy a tape that's gonna make me trip over my step or that I have to rewind a million times before I catch on to the moves. I love Interval max and cardio kicks, have done Step Heat once and already LOVE it, and will purchase Step max next... I also have power hour and hope to try it for the first time next week. I really appreciate your help! Thanks!

RE: Step Max v. Mega Step Blast

I'd go for Bodymax next. It's not hard to learn once you've done the others. This is a "must have" along with Imax.

RE: yes to Bodymax too

Bodymax is an all round total body workout that I agree is a must have. And, I maintain that if you can do Bodymax in its entirety, entering things like a smaller triathlon won't even make you blink. Worked for me.

As well, I am having a lot of fun with Rhythmic Step right now. It is Cathe's newest and is a lot of fun. I think with any new tape, you are going to have the "rewind factor" as you learn it. A solution to that is to give a tape a first try on a rest day or a planned "easy" day so that you don't feel you are wasting your workout for the day.
