I'm heading out west today!!

Well, today is the day. The dogs are at the kennel, the house is cleaned, the bags are packed...and this old gal with the back problem is heading out west today with the fam!

It's been a long haul with the back, but it's actually becoming less painful and more tolerable. We are so excited. Today we fly from Detroit to Vegas and spend 3 days there complete with a 1 day trip to the Grand Canyon. Saturday we drive to Yosemite for 6 days! Head to San Francisco on Sat. June 12th where we'll spend the afternoon (and our 17th anniversary) with my cousin in San Francisco before heading back. We are so pumped for this long awaited trip. I know when I get to Glacier Point in Yosemite, I will probably fall apart when I see that spectacular view and the journey it's taken me to get there.

I'll get my two hiking poles to keep me stable - this crippled up midwestern Buckeye girl is headin' out West!

OMG! We are doing the same trip in about a month. We are flying out Vegas and staying there for 3 days(sister lives there). Then heading up to Yosemite for 5 nights and heading to San Fran for 3 days. Then we head down Ca. And back to Vegas for another night with sister. Hoover dam and then to the Grand Canyon for two nights and then back to Vegas to fly out.
