I'm getting a new floor . . .

Hi Cathe,

We are doing some basement renovations and I've convinced my husband to let me put in an aerobics floor ( . . . since the checkbook is already out . . . ). I've read the info on this site about the Stagestep flooring and I have gotten a quote from them. Before I pull the trigger and order, I just wanted to check that this is still the best way to go. I plan to do the tounge and groove plywood with the timestep on top. I was at the roadtrip, is this what the floor was on the DVD set?

I welcome responses from anyone that has had an aerobics floor put in. I would love feedback (positive or negative) from anyone that has bought this product or anything similar.

I was thinking about doing the same to one of my bedrooms upstairs that I converted to a gym. Could you tell me about how much roughly that would cost, and give me a site or a number I can call to get an estimate??

My room is 14ft. by 13ft and requires 56 panels of the plywood with the spring foam on the bottom. It's $700 for that. On top of that is the timestep product so that is $400 (there is a more expensive product that looks more like wood, but it's almost twice the price, I'm not doing that). Shipping is around $300. So it's about $1400 total.

The company is Stagestep and their phone number is 800-523-0960. If you go to Cathe's home page and look at the blue column on the far left, at the bottom of the page is a link to an area about aerobic flooring. She offers other suggestions there also.
 
Absolutely, everyone is invited. But, because of my husband's monsterous Hoist machine, there's only room for one stepper at a time. I'll be happy to coach while you take your turn : )
