I'm back!

Beets

Cathlete
Hi everyone,
I have not posted in a while because I have not been able to spend any appreciable amount of time on my computer. I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy on Jan 29 at 2:55pm by C-section. The C-section kind of stunk but it was not as bad as I had thought it would be and I bounced back really fast--thanks to keeping in shape during pregnancy. I gained a total of about 30 pounds and was down to my prepregnancy weight by week 4. The weight just fell off without even trying so for those of you who are wondering if it is worth it to exercise, it sure is!!! Keep up with it and you will bounce back so fast you will be surprised!

Anyway, our son weighed 6 lbs, 12 oz and was 19 inches long. We named him Colin (pronounced like it is spelled "Collin", not like Colin Powell) He is the most adorable little guy and has been a pretty good baby so far. He has his fussy days which is why I don't get onto the computer much but he is not too bad. I absolutely love him!!
I am trying to get him to give me enough time during the day to workout and that is coming slowly but we are squeezing in a few minutes here and there.

Well, just wanted to check in. Colin is getting hungry now so it is off to breastfeed now. Congratulations to any who have had their babies recently and to those who are newly pregnant. I will check in as often as Colin will allow!

Hi Kathi! Congratulations! You sound like you are bouncing back very well. Happy bonding...don't you just love having those itty bitty fingers wrap around one of yours. So precious! Take Care!

:) CONGRATULATIONS!!

Isn't it amazing how quickly you can bounce back when you exercise during your pregnancy??

Good to see you back!
Susan

Hi Kathi

Congratulations on your baby boy! You must be thrilled.

I loved hearing that working out during your pregnancy really paid off. It's great motivation for those of us struggling to keep it up. I'm only in week 8 and there are some days that I really just want to lie on the couch with a bowl of ice cream. It's wonderful to know that the extra effort pays off in the end.

I'd also love to hear more details about your delivery and recovery as it looks like this baby will be a scheduled c-section this time around due to complications with my first.

Wonderful news about your little bundle of joy. Keep us posted.

Congratulations on your new little guy, Kathi! Aren't these babies the most wonderful beings in the world? Sounds like Colin is adorable and you are very happy. Enjoy! And good for you for bouncing back so quickly. Those workouts DO pay off.

Take care!
Sandi and Baby Ryan (7-1/2 weeks old and loved more each minute)
